This little place serves wonderfully fresh and interesting food. I had a tuna salad. Sounds boring? absolutely not! I was served a wide variety of delicious and unusual salads with great quality tuna. My husband had Chilli which he loves and described as 'absolutely great'. There is extensive choice, a wide variety of drinks and lovely looking cakes.

1st ever walk on the Camel trail. We left Wadebridge to walk to Padstow and were surprised and delighted to come across this wonderful little mobile coffee and ice cream stop. Fantastic views backed up by friendly service and good coffee.

I absolutely love this place. We are vegan, so it's a challenge at times to find food. But for years now, every time we have been in the area, the wonderful folks at this restaurant have taken care of us. Their mushrooms are simply to die for, they have the most delicious bread and coffee, and well - the whole experience is lovely - from the fresh decor, to the light that comes in through the large front window, to the staff who we so very much look forward to seeing each visit. If you are just in the mood for cakes, they have cakes to suit all tastes, as well, and ice cream, and even now shakes. So, if you need a bit of energy to cycle the Camel trail, or something cool and refreshing after a hot day in the sun, this is a great place to go. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth that bit extra.

We are a restaurant "carriages" located in Trelawney garden centre. Serving meals from breakfast, right through to afternoon teas. We are most famous for our carvery, open 7 days a week and our "cornish cream teas". We use fresh, local, produce where we ca
The best roast dinner made by the garden centres in-house chef. The roast beef tasted amazing and when asked if they could blend a dinner for my granddaughter nothing was too much trouble. We returned for a 2nd time and their scones are huge, fresh and soft. There is a great clothing section where I picked up some really lovely tops on their sale. The garden section is packed with beautiful plants which are beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. There are lots of ornaments, paintings, candles etc to purchase and again most at reasonable prices. They were just setting up for Xmas on our second visit and I would have loved to have seen the finished display. A. Sry easy way to spend a whole day browsing, buying and eating.I am so pleased that we were able to assist in your special requirements and that you enjoyed your carvery and later on the cakes. Its always great to get these comments and we will continue to offer the best customer care and service. We hope that you will visit us again in the near future.Kind regardsHelen

Stopped for breakfast while my car was being attended to in the local tyre place. Quite quiet on a Monday morning, but frequented by local regulars. Selected a table by the heating and ordered a cooked Cornish breakfast. The place smelled a little musty, but not unexpected in an older building. Tea was good, extra pot of hot water. Breakfast was fresh cooked and hot. Nice plate full too. The disappointment was the sausage, which looked like a cheap one. Meal and drink was close to £10 which is probably on the higher side compared to my local. Friendly staff.. Fit the bill for the morning.

Our family are big fans of the British cream tea and can honestly say that the scones at Carnewas tearooms are they best we've ever had. A golden outer crunch, beautifully soft layers inside and very generous proportions of clotted cream and jam. We go every year when we visit (more than once) and dream about these scones the rest of the year. We then purchase as many scones as is socially acceptable to bring home for friends. Eaten on the windy picnic benches outside enhances the experience even more.

We'd never been to Wadebridge before. We happened on Caraways at lunchtime and were delighted. It's small, but comfortable and cosy. There is a warm atmosphere enhanced by the friendliness of the service and the jazz music + the obvious appreciation of the regulars. The menu was engaging too. All the regular lunch items were there but so was curried banana soup, chowder and other creative offerings. Great place.

Cafe in Wadebridge doing coffee tea milkshakes smoothies teacakes cream teas cakes and food on the platt next to spar shop
Just been this afternoon (26.07.2019). With it being the last full day of our holiday, we decided it would be the perfect time to go out and look for a place to try our very first CORNISH CREAM TEA and we are so glad we decided to choose and come to this lovely, quaint place. The cafe is beautifully decorated and it really does make you feel like you have entered Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter's party place. I'm more a coffee person than a tea person but was so glad I stuck to having tea with my Cornish Cream Tea as it went down grandly with everything. The scones were served warm and it was just so light, fluffy and absolutely delicious with the jam ("it's JAM first in Cornwall!") and clotted cream. It was heaven on a plate! The owner (we assume she was the owner) and her staff were so friendly, warm and welcoming. Loved every second we were there. You need to visit this place when in Wadebridge. My husband was eyeing the Victoria Sponge Cake. I think he'd have ordered a slice if he still had some space in his tummy for it as it looked divine, too. Would come back if ever we are in the area again. Thank you.

Visited here this morning after landing from Manchester. Big warm friendly greeting from Kevin (I might have the name wrong) who is such a welcoming bloke, also very entertaining all the way through breakfast. It's a well known fact that fisherman can spin a yarn, well as a Cornish man you're never far from the sea, and with a history of ex navy then you've got a good chance of being an expert on yarns. Kevin has got the art of story telling down too a T. Worth just dropping in for a coffee and chat with Kevin to hear how proud he is of his and his family achievements, such a genuine bloke. But don't just get a coffee, get something to eat as well. I had a small breakfast and it was ever so tasty, plus a decent cup of coffee these set me up for the day. If you want to chop and change anything on the breakfast then that wasn't too much trouble either. You can eat outside or in, but note it is a roadside cafe and there is passing traffic. It doesn't look like your standard roadside cafe, it's been prettier up a bit. You can also take away if you want. If you fancy some decent grub and enjoy some friendly local banter, this is your place to go.
