Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Vejle. Perched at the head of a fjord, Vejle sits in an idyllic intersection of rivers, valleys and forested hills. During the Middle Ages Vejle was an important market town. Today it enjoys more sophisticated status, thanks to spas, shopping centers, safari parks, golf courses and upscale dining establishments. Don’t miss the Viking-age rune stones or the remains of the Iron Age “bog woman” on display inside of St. Nicolai Church.

We stumbled in by accident on our first evening of a two week long holiday based in a rented summer house 200m from the caféWe enjoyed a BBQ buffet with Danish favourites like pork rib steak. The most pleasant thing was the "sides-table" with a delicious curry potato salad, home-grown tomatoes w/mozarella and other delicious sides. Everything was clearly home made and had absolutely no restaurant fell to it at all. Accompanied by friendly prized beer on tap and a decent table wine this turned out to be a lovely evening. The staff wad friendly, though a bit curious about us foreigners. It seemed to be a place mostly for locals, but this is only my guess. The place could do with a few more wines and dessert options. I'm not going to hold it against them, though, seing as this is a small, family operated seasonal restaurant. We'll definitely have more dinners here instead of cooking on our own.
We went in for a coffee at Madam BlÃ¥ whilst strolling through Vejleâs beautiful shopping street. The exterior looks beautiful and promises what Iâd call a âboutique coffee house experienceâ.The coffees are great, best coffee weâve had in Denmark this year. One of the kids we had with us could choose from a whole range of organic lemonades. The pastries looked good too, but we werenât that hungry Iâm afraid. For the shopping addicts: aside from a large selection of coffees and teas, they had a lot of teapots, bread boxes, sweets, ...If you want a great coffee in a cosy hideout, be sure to drop by!
We ate lunch offer: big stuffed breads and big smoothies / juices by price 79kr / person. There were fritbox witch our 8year old took and loved.

Enjoy a delicious homemade pancake or iscream in cozy and nostalgic surroundings, a few steps from the museum with vikings and jelling's history.
Please note that the correct name of this cafe is "Vaffel og Pandekagehuset". We popped in here for a snack and ended up with a satisfying lunch :-D Ordered the Summer Special, a large pancake with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream and a choice of caramel, chocolate or strawberry sauce on top. Yummi!

Having been totally underwhelmed across the river at Cafe Velvet we tried this place and were very impressed......Firstly the staf were all genuinley nice people - friendly and keen to help. Even though it was a 20 min wait for food they explained this in an apologetic yet engaging way.... Food - well I had never had gorgenzola cheese on a pizza - awesome ! Awesome is an overused word - but well warranted here. My wifes pizza was equally scrummy.Ambiance was great and all in all a very good choice for an evening meal out. very happy !

This is a brewpub with eight delicious, nationally recognized beers on tap. Although the menu is somewhat limited everything that we have had was delicious. It is definitely my favorite restaurant in the area.

Was there 2 days ago for lunch, and its a very cosy place in a small courtyard, surrounded by old building. Really romantic. We ordered a beefsteak sandwich which was really good. Service was also good.. Could be a little more attentive to outside, but still sweet and nice. The beer is really expensive compared to the location... kr. 65,00 for 0,4l. this more expensive than center of Copenhagen (Nyhavn) Im Danish and live in Denmark.. So i know this is expensive..

We were 8 people in our group and we had reservation. It was a colorful looking table that was set out for us. The different types of bread was crispy and fresh, we had several types of special spread so we could make our own sandwiches. I was struck by the delicate looking display of good local food. This is definitely a place to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend the restaurant.

Onkel A is an amazing lunch restaurant in the centre of Vejle. Delicious meals at very reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere and excellent personal service. We selected their large brunch that is served on a timber board. At DKK 185 this is very good value for money. For sure we will be back
