Things to do in Thames
we had breakfast here, large servings and quite tasty. the coffee is excellent equal to anything I have had in Melbourne Australia. friendly staff. and worth looking out for if using through. get an apple custard turnover which are fantastic.
Really can't say more. The espresso is as good as you get in NZ and the service was great. Public loos very close by, so a great place to stop for a reviver in Thames. Some of the coffee shops in Thames look pretty average so give Uno a try. You'll love it.

Attracted to Chequers with dog-friendly outdoors seating, as we were travelling with our Spoodle pup. On a sunny day our experience was excellent in pleasant outdoors seating space. Good reasonably priced brunch food comprising potato rosti with eggs, bacon and mushrooms/tomato. Also raspberry/lime/coconut muffins. Good coffee. Worth a try.

On our second visit through Thames, we stopped at this Cafe for lunch. Like the first time, the food was fresh and beautifully presented. Well worth stopping for a light lunch or a more substantial meal.

Popular Cafe located in the heart of Thames across the road from the hospital. Bite Cafe is the perfect place to indulge your taste buds with beautifully prepared fresh food, A la Carte Menu, delicious NZ roasted coffee by Red Cherry Roasters, baked bread
I have dined here on many occasions....each and every time...the food is consistently mouth watering. The friendly staff are courteous, and we are often met with a warm welcome and sincere smile. The ambience and warmth of the surroundings are unmatched. But the food....dear Lord....the food....the chef has done himself proud indeed. Rarely have I had the pleasure to suggest anywhere to eat....but I'd sincerely recommended each and everyone of you to try his world famous (in Thames) Eggs Benedict. ....or anything else on the menu for that matter. You guys rock!!!! Well done Indeed.

After a slow trip from Auckland, we had a late breakfast and to say it was good is not rite, it was heaven. The food was to die for, service was fast, meals were , well the plates were clean at the end of the meal.

Staff were cheerful and friendly. Lots of choices of where to sit and as a beautiful day, found a pleasant courtyard. Other peoples food looked lovely and hubby had a carrot cake and cream, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress thoughtfully brought a fork for me too. Hubby had coffee and I had a lime green tea. Both very good. Just a lovely cafe all round and would recommend

Only Vegetarian Cafe/Restaurant in Thames, Gateway to the Coromandel. We are located on Pollen Street, Grahamstown, northern end of Thames. Also offering Vegan, Gluten Free and Dairy free options.
3 of us spent 3 hours catching up at Sola last Monday. It was a horrible day and the tiny heater on the wall was having a tough time warming up the cafe. The coffees were the highlight and served in beautiful mugs. I was pleased to see they had a decent looking vegan menu and ordered the mushrooms on lovely fresh pandoro 5 grain toast. The others had the tomato soup and creamy mushrooms on toast and were well pleased with their choices - however when they saw mine, I could tell they felt sorry for me. My choice of vegan mushrooms was the saddest looking plate of food I've ever been served, although it ate better then it looked. But come on guys, this really let you down, vegan food can look way better with this with just a little more effort. Everything else in the cabinet look great and all homemade cakes I believe too.
