This is my favorite breakfast stop in Telluride. The aroma of freshly baked croissants meets you at the door and tempts you to choose from among the array of baked goods. My favorite breakfast is the wild mushroom sandwich with fresh local oyster mushrooms. It's an active place, lines are not uncommon but the friendly staff and some outdoor seating overlooking a park make it a nice way to start the day.

I needed a birthday card and popped in. What a sweet locally-owned store. I love shopping locally and this bookstore did not disappoint. Books on local history, vacation reads, gifts and a unique collection of magazines. Pick up local gifts here for your friends at home who weren't lucky enough to come to Telluride. Do bring cash if you're spending less than $5. It's a small business and the credit card charges are high, reminded the staff member who checked me out.

Welcome to The Phoenix Bean. Located next door to The Historic Sheridan Hotel and Bar. Delicious coffee, great food, friendly service, live music, smiles!!
The hostess at The New Sheridan recommended the Phoenix Bean, as they did not have availability. Willing to try a new spot, we went. Very disappointing. Inside was almost empty. Nearly all of the tables were dirty, and we were informed we would stand in line to order. Staff was distracted and inattentive, as they were focused on the patio. Orders for clientele ahead of us were mixed up, service was slow, food was cold. We fetched our own water, drinks, cutlery and napkins. The special comes with no side dish. By the time we paid for additional items, the bill was equivalent to a real restaurant that provides table service.Thank you for your feedback and your review. I apologize that you were expecting a fine dining experience and found yourself at our coffee shop. We do serve some overlapping menu items but the setting is very different between the Chop House and The Phoenix Bean. I apologize that this was not properly communicated to you. If you want to experience our steak house, I hope you will give us another chance to show you a great experience. Reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak hours. All my best,Ray, GM
