Reviews on Cafe food in Swanage, England, United Kingdom. Swanage was a popular seaside resort in Victorian times, and families today continue to enjoy its shallow, calm beach. The recently restored Swanage Pier is a popular spot for fishing. Diving trips and boat tours also depart from here. Don’t miss a trip through the local countryside on the Swanage Steam Railway.

During a recent visit to Swanage I decided to get some breakfast mid-morning. This cafe came up on a search so wandered down the street to find it. Quick and prompt service, nice coffee. All the breakfast items were freshly cooked.

Whenever I goto Swanage, I always try to pay a visit to Wimpy. The food is always consistently piping hot, well presented and served quickly. The staff have always been welcoming and friendly. I love this place because it reminds me of when I was a kid back in the 80's. The decor and menu seems to be unchanged! Wimpy restaurants were a lot more common back then and it's a shame there aren't many left on the high street these days.

We've been coming to Knoll Beach for over 40 years and still love it. It's worth walking 15 minutes from the beach entrance, going left, where the sea weed peters out and the beach becomes a lot deeper. The beach is spotless and the sand not at all gritty. The NT shop and cafe has gone from strength to strength over the years that we have been coming, the staff are efficient and friendly. Plenty of facilities around the car park, showers, toilets etc. Definitely recommend

The menu was just what we were looking for and that's what drew us in the first time we went. We went back several times during our week long stay in Swanage and we worked our way through the menu. The service was excellent; the waitresses were always cheerful and looked after us well. The ambience was relaxed and friendly and the food was superb and plentiful. For 5 stars we'd like to see a greater range of desserts; you can't beat a good cheesecake or home made bread and butter pudding! Our favourite place to eat in Swanage and we look forward to returning in the future.

From tea cakes to dressed crab salad. Enjoy a nice breakfast, lunch, afternoon cake or ice cream on the sand of Swanage beach. Away from the hustle and bustle of Swanage town centre; take small stroll down the promenade to find the little blue cafe with a
Gorgeous lunch as usual...a delight to be able to return as often as I can. Very reasonably priced, beautifully cooked, and a very warm welcome. Sitting right by the sea, watching and listening to the sea. Fantastic!

Ordered drinks and food at the counter but when asked for table number I explained it was quite busy and being alone couldn't find one until I sat down.Drinks are made in order and taken to the table and there was quite a long wait due to lack of staff and limited coffee machine capacity. The food and drinks were fine one they eventually arrived but the whole experience was poor in my opinion. No other competition in this area so take it or leave it I suppose. It did get very busy near lunchtime so be prepared for a long wait or better still, take a picnic and enjoy it outside the the lovely country park.

Stopped in for a drink and a sandwich and not disappointed. Lovely location on the pier and the glass wall makes it visible. We were overcharged but it seemed a genuine mistake and was soon put right with no fuss. portions good and service friendly. only one toilet which was for everyone but there is another, less nice, toilet just outside on the pier.
