It's always busy, but can't say I'm impressed. Bit of a wait for food so you would expect it to be hot when it's put down in front of you. Nope, lukewarm at best. And if you're sitting at a table chatting to friends and your coffee cup is empty and the food is gone, out comes the reserved sign on the table. Nothing like a less than subtle hint - if you're not buying anything more, then move on. Won't rush back.

Gorgeous little spot with friendly service and great coffee. Nice selection of cakes and a lovely lunch menu. We secured a nice little spot in the sun for coffee and a chat. My favourite part about this cafe is simple. They do not offer straws unless requested. While most cafes are switching to paper straws, this cafe is eliminating them! Impressive.
Stopped in for breakfast and a cuppa and this small, unpretentious place had good food and coffee. I can see why people recommend coming here and i would say the same. Food is not complicated but it is tasty and the coffee was very nice. In the area, go for it!

Entrée of scallops was very disappointing. Three scallop shells each containing a nice burnt butter, each shell contained two tiny scallops about 1cm diameter and 1cm thick. Seriously if you can't source decent seafood, just take them off the menu and say "out of stock". At $17, this meal was a rip-off. The accompanying 'Crunchy Asian Salad with cashews' was about as Asian as spaghetti bolognese. An Asian dressing may have helped instead of a mayo-based dressing with honey mustard flavours. Mains of surf and turf and baked salmon were nice though - nothing outstanding but honest food and well cooked.
I ordered a vegetarian pizza without sun-dried tomatoes and cheese and the lady charged me $2 less which I find really nice (eating out as a vegan you are used to being charged the same even if you take off ingredients). The pizza was delicious and she also brought it out to my car when it was ready. Drive to the end of the street and enjoy by the water.

The food and coffee was great. The staff were friendly and the food to die for. We were found there daily eating. This is what the bakeries should be producing.

By the beach, relaxed with delicious curries and our famous seafood chowder. Good espresso and Devonshire tea. Scones to die for and Sticky Date Pudding. If you just want a snack grab a ham, cheese and tomato toastie or a pie. Try our Mango Lassi or just
Today myself, my husband and our two young daughters decided to try out the local surf club to try their lunch specials that we have heard so much about. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived and our daughters loved playing up on the stage. For lunch I had the seafood chowder and my husband and daughters had the coconut curry. The seafood chowder came with toasted buttered bread and the curry came with raita and chutney. Both meals were really nice home-cooked style meals, very filling, and an absolute bargain at $7 each. We look forward to returning and trying some other meals that they have to offer, and I will be sure to try the Devonshire Tea ($5).HiThank you very much for your kind review .We try hard and put all the best indigence into our food. My top recommendation is the Sticky Date Pudding . It is absolutely scrumptious made from a secret family recipe from Granny May .Yes we are very low priced but I hope customers will return often. It was great seeing your children dancing on the stage .Thanks again.Brian ( The Curryman )

We are a cafe and marina situated on a spectacular waterfront in Sussex. We offer all day breakfast, great lunch, boat hire, kayaks and stand up paddle boards as well as functions. Come along and try our fantastic food upon the best view.
Stopped in for lunch and chose a seat outside, our dog was allowed to join us. Hamburgers were excellent in taste and generous in size, not hungry afterwards. The mango smoothies were tasty and also more than generous in size. Nice location by the river at the eastern end of Sussex Inlet. Fairly busy on a holiday weekend but the service was prompt and friendly. Good value.
