Things to do in Sumner
This restaurant is located in downtown Puyallup. It is basically open for lunch. They have absolutely wonderful sandwiches and soup and their service is exceptional. It is a very hometown experience. It is a great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat at lunch. They do cater. This is my wife's favorite place to have lunch with her mom.

I visited British Bites with my family recently and we enjoyed the opportunity to find authentic and all too rare English goodies (black pudding, anyone?) here in the US. The food we had was tasty and I was reminded of the pleasure of taking time in the afternoon to just sit and enjoy a good cup of tea. Recommended as a place to find British foods that are somewhat hard to find in the US and enjoy a pleasant snack or meal.
Food was very good although the service was a little slow on a Saturday. We had a group of 5 and that may have been the reason why as there appeared to be only one person making the sandwiches. Food was very tasty and very reasonably priced. Refills for beverages were brought without asking.

Quaint, cozy, turn-back-in-time restaurant with a variety of comfort foods. I say this as a compliment but also as a limitation. The older generation will like this place, a younger generation will not find anything unique here either in culinary uniqueness or finding an entree that is best of breed. I would guess the vast majority of folks that come here are 50+. Not a slam, just who this type of food appeals to. I had half a pastrami sandwich that was good, not unique and ordered with soup of the day, clam chowder. Tasty but closer to potato soup. Wife had a chili burger and a side of the same clam chowder soup. Clam chowder was essentially just big chunks of potato and didn't find the clams. Burger was well prepared and smothered with a spicy chili. Good spice but a sweet chili that was not our favorite. I suspect you can't go wrong at Hometown Charm for consistency and to satisfy your craving for comfort food, but we just didn't find anything unique or outstanding here. Great service.

I've eaten many great pies in my life and this place has beat them all. We had the Marionberry warned with ice cream and it was unbelievable. The portion was good and so was the price. Their burgers were also great. Definitely would recommend going here with a family

Dixie's Home Cookin' offers a wide selection of home-style foods in a cozy, inviting atmosphere.
Wow! We had never been here before. Fantastic! Food was great especially the potato pancakes and dad's potatoes. Other than my husband's eggs being a little under done this place was great. My blueberry muffin was amazing (I would have enjoyed a few more blueberries) but the batter was very light and fluffy!Staff was friendly and efficient.
