The Ancient Grain Bowl was a plate of separate items. The grains were dense and heavily seasoned but walnuts a nice addition. The roasted tomatoes and chicken decent. Not at all what I expected or hoped for. My companion had a sandwich that was okay but nothing great. There was a nice selection of gelato and desserts but we didn't try any.Service was good and a nice interior space.I had heard positive things about this chain. Perhaps I will try another day, but not soon.Hello! We're sorry to hear we didn't make a more positive impression during your visit with us. We've shared your comments with our team and look forward to having another opportunity to serve you next time.

I have always loved tomato soup and La Madeleines did not disappoint. The staff greets you at the door and the service is quick. KCafeteria style but nonetheless good. Many choices of breads, quiche, soup, salad and desserts. And the little guys in French costumes are adorable. We had the tomato basil and vegetable soups. Both were fantastic but pricey. $6 per bowl.Self seating, extra bread with butter and jam available for free at the beverage stand. Self serve beverages. The soup is fantastic!

We go here often as an alternative to a fast food meal.My teenage daughter loves to grab a meal at the generous buffet. There are always lots of choices. Soups, salad bar, hot entrees and veggies.Even a delicious baked goods selection! The food is weighed and charged accordingly. Then I can pick up a few other items in the grocery.Very convenient. Decent outdoor space to sit and eat there or you can take it to go.It can be a bit pricey, but usually about what you'd pay for a meal at another fast food establishment, with the bonus that you are eating real food.

The Toasted Yolk took over this location from the short lived Bacon Brothers. Good location especially as there are very few good breakfast and lunch places in Sugar Land. The issue with this place is the same and the reason why we never had a second visit to the Bacon Brother and why we are not going back here either: it's freezing cold inside, doesn't matte where you sit and extremely noisy. We were unlucky with a group of folk in a highly elevated mood and we could barely talk to each other across the table. The other patrons looked around in amazement how loud it could be. Oh, yes, the warmest and quietest place is the bathroom, but they don't server you there.
