Sudbury is a historic market town in Suffolk, one of the largest counties of England in East Anglia. Sudbury itself is worth exploring on foot, a small family friendly town with a shopping area (mostly full of chain shops but with a few great local shops), and a few good bars and restaurants. Fans of art history will be pleased to discover the house of Thomas Gainsborough on the appropriately named Gainsborough Street at the bottom of Market Hill, and book lovers may be amused by the plaque at St Peter's Church which acknowledges the fact that the town was referenced in Dodie Smith's classic 101 Dalmations.

We visited this cafe on a SundayAll the wooden tables were laid with mats and cutlery and every jam/marmalade you could think of We ordered four cooked breakfasts which arrived promptly with big mugs of tea and coffee and toast on the side. The Staff were all friendly and told us we could help ourselves to jam/marmalade off another table for our toast. The breakfast was very reasonably priced for four considering we had tea/coffee refills.Would recommend to all ages especially for campers who fancy a hearty cooked breakfast Thank you
A friendly café and tea room with pretty courtyard garden. All our dishes are home-made; the lunch menu changes daily and our warm cheese or fruit scones are legendary.
This charity-based organisation offers more than just reasonable food: opportunities for staff with learning difficulties and craft workshops as well. Staff are really friendly, it's almost like taking a meal in someone's own home. Sometimes they've run out of things, but that doesn't matter - there is always something else on offer. Well-cooked, good quality food.

A welcome coffee stop in the lovely village of Boxford. A good number of indoor seats as well as a few outside, the cafe is nicely decorated with several historic and modern pictures on the walls. Friendly staff, and a good selection of drinks and cakes etc. available. Our drinks were good, coffees were £2.50 each, a pleasant stopover.

Upstairs is a spacious, clean cafe with a relaxed environment, nice pictures on the walls, and serving appetising food. Not the egg and bacon type - more quiches, soups, sandwiches, and cakes. It gets quite crowded at lunch-times, so that speaks for itself.

Found this cafe on a Friday morning after New Year, while travelling home to Derbyshire. We did not know Sudbury and stopped to find somewhere for a quick coffee, but when we found this cafe decided to go for a full breakfast. We both love an English breakfast, and can honestly say that this is one of the best ones we have had - good quality, tasty ingredients, nicely cooked and presented. Also at a very reasonable price. Everyone was very friendly and it was certainly a good start to our journey home

Excellent choice of delicious pastries when we popped in this morning and all sorts of lovely things to eat in or take away. We bought some of the bread baked on site to take home. Coffee gorgeous too and organic! Great ethics very popular and very friendly team.

Went with a friend for breakfast on his recommendation. Amazing! Huge plate of food served piping hot to the table, fresh coffee and toast. This was not the biggest one either! If you want a proper Full English that literally sets you up for the day this is the place to eat. Staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Painters of Sudbury is a traditional cafe with a modern country feel. We offer a mix of breakfasts, lunches and cakes along with our daily homecooked specials. We also offer stunning afternoon teas with homemade scones and sandwiches along with parties. C
The perfect breakfast and lovely staff. Particularly generous "extras" (avocado, halloumi, etc.) and the coffee is strong and plentiful. Sit in the courtyard garden if there's room.

A continental coffee shop for grown ups! The best coffee, fine scrambled egg, home made cakes, warm croissants and a warmer welcome. We are located near Gainsborough Museum with free parking outside for your visit. Open from 9 am- Monday to Saturday for d
This is a child free zone, and despite the fact that we like well behaved children, it makes for a relaxed time while eating breakfast, lunch or brunch. Newspapers available along with many cookery books to pursue while waiting if you don't want to chat with your companions. Food is very good and well presented - absolutely delicious.
