We love Armens Italian coffee. His fresh, homemade soups and salads are always good. Everything he makes is fantastic and you always leave feeling well fed. Excellent value and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. Wish he would open a cafe in Toronto!

Refined yet relaxed dining. Premium beers and wine. Starbuck's coffees and Tazo teas. Everything made on the premises. Two different menus. For lunch, enjoy specialty sandwiches or "build your own". Wonderful soups and desserts as well. For dinner, you wi
On vacation from Scotland and visiting my family we had a day out in Port Elgin. Looking for somewhere to have lunch we found The Woodpecker...best find ever. A varied menu made choosing difficult but we all enjoyed our choices with a nice glass of wine and coffee to follow. Sometimes itâs the little touches that make a visit memorable. The restaurant is small, nicely set out and decorated in a French style, it made us feel relaxed on a lovely sunny day. Our server was very pleasant and made us feel welcome. Reasonably priced menu and would certainly recommend. Would love to experience dinner in the evenings, hopefully on another visit, but I am sure it would be every bit as enjoyable.
In fact, it's right on the beach behind the building that serves as a change room and restrooms. Come as you are, right off the beach. We had drinks and French fries and ice cream. All were excellent. That's useful because there is nowhere else to buy food near the beach... other restaurants are downtown and they would not have served us while we were wearing swim suits. A nice, colourful place with reasonable prices and good food. (Probably not worth 5 stars when compared to a full service restaurant but for this type of business, it's very, very well done).
This cute little shop is well worth a visit. Thereâs hand scooped and soft serve ice cream as well as milkshakes, banana splits and more. An English 99âer is worth every calorie... soft serve in a waffle cone with a chocolate Flake and strawberry syrup . As well, you can find British pies, pasties and sausage rolls for a quick lunch or take some home frozen to bake for yourself. A great selection of British goods and sweets. Check it out!
