We stopped here for breakfast this morning and seated ourselves on the cafe side. My husband ordered the two eggs over-easy, toast, hash browns, and sausage links; I ordered the special ($8.99), which was two eggs over-easy, hash browns, sausage patties and strawberry crisp. We both got coffee too. I went to wash my hands as I would be sharing my husband' s toast (and in return giving him some crisp). The bathrooms are located at the back of the Not Justa Bar and have always been clean. Today...OMG. The first thing I thought was "Wow, they had a rough weekend here." The floor by the bathrooms was dirty as well as in the women's bathroom. The toilet, sink, and faucet were all dirty. It was difficult washing my hands and keeping them clean, as there is a conventional doorknob on the bathroom...and no paper towels to use to open the doorknob. Today the dirtiness made me feel ill.Our meals were out to us right away. They were good overall. The toast on my husband's plate was burned, the sausage patties I had were greasy. Also, the crisp had A LOT of sugar in it and was too sweet. However, the hash browns and eggs on both were PERFECT. Service was fast and friendly as usual.

People have simple/basic expectations for a small town cafe, yet this place just doesn't quite hit the mark. The ownership and restaurant name has changed so many times, I can't keep up. Hopefully this place will develop some legitimate character and become that small town cafe New Richmond needs. Until then, I am going to skip the Pinterest inspired atmosphere and look for something real.

Chilkoot has been our familyâs mainstay for brunch after we attend church. Over the past few years, weâve enjoyed organic and delicious food from the cafe and always looked forward to a great cup of coffee. Unfortunately we have noticed some turnover in the kitchen and that has caused a variety of issues during the past year or so. The main problems have been around wait times, meal portion consistency and running out of ingredients to make Chilkootâs menu items. A good example of this came about this morning. We arrived to the cafe about 10:40, waited in line to place our order and then had to stand and wait for a table to open. Luckily a couple finished up a few minutes later and we sat down just before 11:00. There was not enough staff to clear our table so we picked up the dishes and asked for a rag to wipe our table down. We settled in and waited another 40 minutes until our food arrived. There were a couple of small mistakes (wrong ingredients in a fritada, burnt bacon, forgotten syrup for French toast.) None of these mistakes were overly concerning, but it does show that the kitchen team is understaffed and rushing through the orders. As the title suggests, our favorite little cafe has made a turn towards the worse over the past year. I know the owner takes a lot of pride in his business so I hope that things pick up soon.
Where to eat American food in Somerset: The Best Restaurants and Bars

The food quality is always good and dependable, especially like the smoked sausage omelette here - it is terrific.Good foot, good service, breakfast joint atmosphere. it won't wow you with appearance, but it's worth a stop. When I compare it to the Oasis Cafe and Not Justa Cafe (in Bayport), I am torn right between a 3 or a 4 ranking - as those three are my favorite breakfast places in the area. Main Cafe scored a '4' from me based on the shear yumminess of all four dishes we had on this trip.

A well rounded menu which any person could find something to eat. My sister had a Greek flat bread and it was amazing. I chose The Coop flat bread and it was ok. The concept was good I just found it lackluster (tasteless) compared to the Greek flat bread. The cafe has a nice ambience and the staff was wonderful.

Serves Breakfast All Day & The Best Burgers in the Valley!
We had wanted to try this place for while and finally made a point to do it. We were terribly disappointed. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. That was very nice. Our waitress at first was really on the spot and very friendly. She immediately brought water and said she would be back with our beverages. A group of four sat next to us, and the server doted on them. She got their drinks and took their food order. It was not until I said something about our drinks that she came over and then said she forgot about us. She took our food order and then said she would bring out drinks. Our food arrived before the people next to us, thankfully. Had it not, we were going to walk. She offered 1 free mimosa but not of us were drinking alcohol so we found that odd. Our bill came the same time the people next to us. In 5 minutes she was back taking their bill and never acknowledged us. After waiting 15 minutes, I walked inside to pay my bill. I was looked at many times but never acknowledged. When I said something about paying my bill I was told my server would take care of it, very rudely. I explained we had waited 15 minutes already and were ready to leave. I was told i had to wait for our server. I then told the person, that we would be leaving and if they wanted to get paid they would take the payment now. Finally, they took our payment. Just terrible experience. I have never seen such terrible service. Now the food, it was OK. All of the burgers are made well done and they would not make it any other way. My friend ordered one to try and it was dry and hard. Please, if you want good food and service, do not some here.
