Seating areas and bar seats. Nice and simple atmosphere which invites to sit back, warm up and talk & relax. The place was visited by mature public during our stay. Very close to Garni appartments Arnika in which we stayed.

Our visit to Stella Alpina was a highlight of our recent holiday in Südtirol. The host, Andrea, provided us with exceptional hospitality and an outstanding meal of local specialities (polenta, fungi, nettles) followed by locally made liquore amaro. Adding to this memorable experience, Andrea gave helpful advice concerning nearby walking/climbing options, of which there are many -- this is an ideal low altitude base -- and despite our primitive language skills, he was patient and enthusiastic. The newly renovated lodgings are simple and elegant (some final details were not yet complete), and with such breathtaking views up and down the valley what more could one possibly need? We will certainly return to this delightful corner of the Valfurva.

Stopped off here after climbing Stelvio from the Bormio side. Keen to eat before ascending again. There was little open so we ended up here. It has a good location. Service was quick. But the menu is extremely limited and basic. A ham sandwich is literally two bits of toast with a slice of ham. Pizzas are mini ones with the minimal topping. Best just to ask for drinks only.
