Stopping at what from the outside looked like a nice place to take afternoon tea on the way back from a weekend away, we ordered two afternoon teas. The first notion that something wasn't quite right was when I was asked to choose sandwiches from the boxed sandwiches in the chiller, and the look of disdain on the server's face as I asked for these to be made fresh. When our afternoon tea arrived, the sandwiches were soggy, the scones had obviously been warmed in a microwave to make these appear fresher than they were (they weren't, and had the consistency of granite). The coffee was - well it wasn't. I think they'd run water through the same grounds in the filter since June. It was warm brownish water. We left before the spiders from the webs above us dropped.Dirty tables, uninterested staff, food that looked like a 6-year-old had brought it home from cookery classes at school. Needless to say we won't be back.

Bottle shop, cafe and bar, serving local craft beer and ales, wine, cocktails and food to enjoy in or takeaway!
Have been meaning to visit here since it opened over a year ago, I finally did so today and was not disappointed. A really lovely addition to Settle, offering a modern coffee shop experience.Great coffee and cakes, as well as a small but perfectly formed menu. I think this could become a regular coffee stop for me and my friends.

Part of The Courtyard Dairy cheese complex with award winning cheese shop, museum and cheese-make room. See other listing (under specialist shops) for more details
On my first visit I had the unexpectedly beautiful courgette, rosemary and fennel soup. Today I had Baba Ganouche which was stunning. Iâve been a vegan for 3 years and itâs the best meal Iâve ever eaten. My husband, who is not a vegan, had Lamb Henry and just made quiet murmurs of pleasure. If you go past here but donât stop you are mad. The chef is clearly a genius xxx

We called in for food after after a morning hike. Very comfortable dining area and very friendly staff. I had the Full Yorkshire Breakfast and my partner had the Beer braised Onions and mature Cheddar toastie. Food was excellent and the tea and coffee were very good.

A huge variety of delicious food on offer at teatime, both savoury and sweet. Quite a lot of homemade cakes and the fruits scones were delicious with a choice of different jams. Also a variety of coffees on offer - which is great as often coffee is overlooked at tea time. The staff were very happy to allow muddy walkers in! Would recommend

We are a charity run Coffee House with all the proceeds going towards the upkeep of this Grade 1 Listed Building and The Museum of North Craven Life.
Tucked away from the main square in a stunning building is this coffee shop. We were a family of nine, and although we managed to find three tables, we rather felt we were taking over. I understand the waitress was concerned we didnât block any of the access, but she came over rather blunt and not cheerful or smiling. Had I been on my own, I would have left. The food we ordered, from tea cakes to panini and Welsh rarebit, was fine. One mention was the nice crockery, reminded me a bit of Denby! The tea room also has an exhibition tucked on in the adjoining room, a little bit if history from the past. Interesting to see times gone by.Thank for you for your review and sorry that your experience was not up to our usual high standards. Your comments will be discussed with the management team and appropriate action taken to address the issue raised.
