Used to come here but never again. Really dreadful food, the platter we shared was mediocre, not fresh and tasty, and not much edible on the plate. Does the chef ever taste his cooking? Pity, the service was OK but in no way made up for the awful mealHi Bren, Thank you for your feed back. We are extremely disappointed that you had such a bad experience and would have appreciated the opportunity to have addressed your disappointment on the evening of your visit. We only have one share platter, the Chefs Plate, which is a large platter and we keep a record of what we have sold due to the size of the platter and cost to both the business and the customer. Our records show that platters sold this last month (February leading into March) were for a large group celebrating a birthday (all platters removed from this table were empty) and one was sold to a lovely couple who asked to take the left overs home. Not sure if you were part of the large group. If you were, that is disappointing for us, as the feed back we received when serving throughout the evening was positive and at no time did we receive any feedback on the food being dreadful or awful. The only plates removed from this group with food still on them were the children's plates and it was noted that this was due to the portions being too large. We ask all our customers during service and on payment for feedback, we encourage this, as this is how we address any issues that affect our customers as well as taking on all suggestions made by our customers. In this instance we were unable to address your disappointment which is disappointing for us. Once again we thank you for your feedback. Wishing you a good week ahead.
Popped into Doric Street and purchased a take away iced coffee and a chicken and slaw wrap. The iced coffee was nice but the wrap was a big mediocre. They also had a tempting array of sweets at the counter; however, on this occasion I didnât purchase anything.

Excellent food, we had a chicken curry and a vegetable curry, both were full of flavour in a rich sauce, tender chicken and reasonably priced. We took byo wine and there was no corkage charge, can't understand why this restaurant was not busier.....maybe needs to make the decor more appealing as an evening venue rather than a cafe appearance but would recommend it nevertheless.

Had breakfast here twice so far. Nice little café with excellent coffee and delicious breakfast. They've got nice freshly pressed juices and smoothies, too. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff.I've found it a bit pricey but still okay for the quality they deliver .

Our son and I share a birthday so this was my husbandâs treat. A friend recommended this restaurant and we had delicious food. It was BYO Wednesday (wine only) which was good. We started with a generous shared platter - excellent grilled Turkish bread, spicy sausage, wonderful ham, pickles, olives, two sorts of cheese etc. The males in our party chose from the burger menu and declared them delicious. I chose salmon which was beautifully presented with kale, roast cauliflower, beetroot purée etc. The staff were attentive and friendly. Thereâs inside and outside seating in this converted house and parking for several cars. The lunch menu looks exciting - Iâll be back to try it out.

We were there a few night ago and were so disappointed. I ordered a Chicken Schnitzel and Chips. From my experience, whenever I ordered this meal in other places it is usually served with a very small salad. I wish i'd taken a photo of this meal. It had a minuscule amount of tomato sauce covered with the same amount of cheese. There was no punch in the flavour and the chicken was very dry possibly overcooked. More sauce would have been a blessing seeing the chicken was so dry. The Gnocchi was also very disappointing you could feel the grains of flour in your mouth. I could not have eaten that meal. Presentation was dull. I won't be returning to this one.

Here at the Local Shack, we have good old fashioned service with good old fashioned prices. At the local shack we think you should eat what you want when you want, with all day breakfast and world class barristas carefully pouring your coffee all day. Sha
Excellent service, waitress was really on top of her game, best we've had for a long time in Perth. Food serves were so large we struggled to complete them. The waffles were very soft, fried chicken delicious. Drinks - both non and alcoholic are available here, making it a great brunch \ lunch \ dinner location.

Very good coffee, good menu, fresh produce, good service, the barista has made it a style of her own. I had the smashed avocado and the missus had the granola both amazing. To be honest we went back a few days later. Atmosphere is amazing. Do your taste buds a flavor.

The very best local, responsibly sourced produce, prepared with flair, a lot of love and just a little bit of wild and yours to enjoy with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean.
Light Lunch for two omnivorous humans. Very pleasant atmosphere and good service. Primarily veggie / vegan menu with a good but limited choice. We had Sea food Ravi. and a venison chorizo plus Chinese duck in spinach wrap. All very tasty and nicely presented. It was a light lunch, so quantities not an issue but would not satisfy a large appetite.Overall I would recommend.Hi there fellow omnivores - thank you for taking the time to write about your experience. We pride ourselves on offering variety and a great meal. How good is that locally hand made ravioli?! Love it! Quantities are always subjective but for those wanting to enjoy a fabulous meal and still enjoy the beach without rolling there, we're that place :D
