This place is a 100% gluten free, cooked on site and amazing coffee place! We enjoyed vegetable wraps, paninis and crepes with cold brew coffees and golden turmeric lattes. The owner and staff are friendly and attentive and the setting is clean, hip and everything we hoped for!Highly recommend!!

National and international cuisine, pleasant atmosphere with the best and most exquisite of our culinary culture, including our wonderful Dominican coffee. Enjoy our privileged view of the First Cathedral of America and renowned pedestrian street El Conde
A nice place to sit for breakfast , lunch or just a "cafecito" and people watch , see the street vendors , families walking , prostitutes plying their trade and just relax under the shade of some huge banyan trees and listen to some Dominican music.

Shocked to find good sushi our first night in Santo Domingo. Learned the next day that the restaurant had literally opened the previous day. Yay for finding something new. Since then we've been back a dozen times... so it's good :DSushi is mostly rolls, including the popular traditional rolls plus some interesting locally inspired stuff like a Platano Roll (salmon, plantain, avocado and cream cheese). The Japanese food is mostly Yaki noodles. With some staff from Venezuela they have a few Venezuelan dishes for breakfast, namely arepas and cachapas. I'm seriously in love with the arepa habichuelas con plátano y queso as a delicious vegetarian breakfast sandwich.

Owner buttonholed us on Calle Conde. We extracted some local information and went on our way. But since he had been so helpful, when we were ready for lunch we decided to give El Buho a try. We were not sorry. Good food, friendly service in a beautifuly restored old colonial zone building.Fish in coconut sauce had great flavor. Local grass fed beef with mushrooms was tender and perfectly cooked. Cold Lemonade with mint hit the spot on a hot day. âButtonholedâ , now there is a term rarely used. I confess I had to look it up. We are happy you decided to adhere to our recommendation by joining us. On behalf of all of us at El Buho Café we thank you for the kind words and for expanding our dictionary
