Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in San Gimignano. San Gimignano, known as the "city of beautiful towers," had 72 towers in its heyday. Now 14 remain, and, rising above Tuscany's Elsa Valley, they make the town look like a medieval dreamscape. Take in the fresco-covered Collegiate Church, the Civic Museum and the views from atop 177-foot Torre Grossa. Daytrippers from Florence tend to fill up the streets during the day, so for a more up-close-and-personal look at the town, spend the night.

We are a little special family run eaterie. You can eat and drink here from 7am for breakfast untill 7.30Pm. We have sandwiches with our homemade bread (schiacciata), bruschetta and big salads with seasonal products and some wonderful pastas. If you would
The fruit plate, toast and cheese, and chocolate croissant were very good and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. The Americano coffee portions were a bit small, but otherwise everything was perfect. Also, service was prompt and the place has a great view from the window.

Had drinks here last night. Inn the main square of the town well positioned. There is seating outside and inside. Nice heaters if your outside and it is a bit cold. They have a good snack and pasta menu. We just had drinks and ice cream. We sat inside, they had a TV screen with music and news playing. Very friendly service, good wine list comfortable seating inside. They are attached to the hotel Cisterna.

Stopped here for lunch yesterday. This place is perfectly placed in the square opposite the Church, you often see the wedding photos being taken in the square. They are always busy, but you are always greeted with a warm welcome. The owners are very sociable and will always make time to chat. They have a great menu for snacks and meals. Our food was all prepared fresh and tasted delicious. They also do lovely coffee and teas. They have some excellent wines at very reasonable prices. This is a great family run bar, well worth a visit. Seating is inside and outside.
