This utterly charming roadside cafe serves up homemade desserts and pastries made fresh daily by owner/baker, Lindsey. Neither a traditional Mexican bakery nor a traditional American one, Lindsey enjoys having fun with fusion, such as taking classic American cheesecake, and then rounding it out with passionfruit and mango to give it local, tropical flavor (my favorite dish on the menu). A gracious, bilingual, and charming hostess originally from Portland, OR, she knows her food and drink and enjoys serving them to locals and tourists alike. In fact, she makes some of the best coffee in town from beans that she sources from the nearby coffee-growing region of Pluma Hidalgo and always grinds fresh to order. Besides coffee, you can enjoy tea, wine, or kombucha made by her neighbor right across the street. When you visit, you may also find other desserts on the menu such as brownies, chocolate cake, carrot cake, passionfruit-topped panna cotta, and walnut cheesecake. With a charming setting, gracious service, delicious coffee, and tasty pastries, you should absolutely make this a stop when you visit Zipolite on the Oaxacan coast. Thanks for your review and kind words, Ezra. We hope you're back in Zipolite soon. Saludos!
Peaceful mexican village house next to the sea. Open early to start with coffee in a chill-out place & appreciate ethical food. Enjoy delicious cocktails & tapas, playing pétanque in our beautiful garden. Nice place to meet people and share an unforgettab
Just a brilliant unknown place!! It is a rustic setting, the staff are so friendly and really genuine. They will spend the time to chat and enjoy the night! Drink menu is great, cheap beers and the cocktails are really well done. They also have wine options that are delicious and the cheapest we found. As for the food, we went there twice and it got better and better. The menu changes each day so drop in and check, but they seem to always have an option for pork, fish(generally tuna) and beef plus a variety of starters which are vegetarian too. Just an amazing place to spend the night! They are only open for dinner and close a couple days a week so chat to them and donât miss it.
After trying a few different places for coffee and breakfast, we found Cafe del Mar near the beginning of town, and it immediately became our favorite. Clean and cozy, relaxing vibe, better prices, and, most importantly, the best coffee we came across! Esteban and his staff were always warm and welcoming and we had som great chats with him. Awesome coffee, tasty food, friendly people, an eye for style and a good customer oriented business sense all made this place stand out.

Ate here twice during our stay. There is no printed menu but it is written on a blackboard. Had Mexican eggs and enchiladas with green sauce. Fresh squeezed juice. Owners very friendly.

Ate breakfast here twice, once had Mexican eggs and the second time had to have one of their waffles. Homemade wheat bread with peanut butter or jam is the best. Fresh juices and an ocean view. And that is just breakfast. Come back at night for some great pasta, fish or steak. And the accommodations upstairs are some of the best in San Agustinillo.
