Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Salisbury. If you saw Chevy Chase's masterpiece European Vacation, you'll recognize Stonehenge's massive formation. (As a citizen of the world, you should recognize Stonehenge anyway.) The prehistoric stone circle is eight miles from Salisbury, and its visitors provide a boost to the local economy. With a history dating back over 5,000 years, there is no shortage of significant places to visit in and around Salisbury. On the "must see" list are Salisbury Cathedral, Longleat and Stourhead gardens (and Stonehenge, of course).

While out walking around Salisbury, we stopped for a coffee for myself and hot chocolate for my daughter..Being a nice hot day, this place offers outside seating, so being a smoker, I can have a cigarette while sipping my delicious coffee.Order and pay in shop, then the staff bring out the prepared drinks to your table. Not the cheapest for drinks, but you cannot argue with the quality of their drinks. The hot chocolate appears to be made from real chocolate. The coffe is proper barrista made.A selection of sugar cubes in white and brown are offered on the tables. Will stopping again when we get up there again.

Looked a really interesting place so we went in for a coffee etc full of expectation. You are asked to wait to be seated but even though the place was only about half full, it took 3-4 minutes for anyone to greet and seat us. Then we waited ages for someone to come and take our order only to be told that one had to order at the bar, but no one had bothered to tell us that on arrival. Once ordered there was then a very long wait for our drinks to arrive, although they were not bad when we did eventually get them!So only go to this cafe if you are patient and have plenty of time on your hands.

Always worth popping into the Arts Centre cafe on a weekend even with small children. It is pretty chilled out and family-friendly with a range of light meals/snacks/cakes on offer to suit most pallets. It is very colourful inside and always has small exhibitions of art that are free to view. A beautiful building too that is well worth a visit.

Whilst in Salisbury we fancied a drink so called into this cafe which offers table service. The building goes back to 14 century and on the menu there is an interesting history written. We sat downstairs but there are two more floors upstairs. We chose coffee, earl grey tea and lemon cake.Everything was good and service efficient.Loved the surroundings and will go back for a meal next time.

Cooking feasts from far-away places, in the heart of Salisbury! Serving up signature sandwiches from all four corners of the world, along with soups, stews, salads, and other street food snacks.
Having already had lunch at the cafe we decided to try brunch. The food was delicious, especially the âegg in a holeâ which was a bagel with smoked salmon and avocado with a fried egg. The service was friendly but slow but there is a sign up explaining that the food is cooked to order. Just be prepared to wait- itâs worth it.

I've lived in Salisbury for 25 years and only found this wonderful cafe through a Taste Trail in connection with the International Arts Festival. It's now my favourite place to go for a cup of tea and cake, or a light lunch. Find it up an alleyway off West Street, accessible from Fisherton Road via Dews Street or North Street - look carefully as you can't see the entrance tip you are on top of it! The Yard offers a warm welcome and the best carrot cake I've ever tasted - the icing is kept separately in the fridge so the cake doesn't go sorry and is not sickly sweet - and a rotation of other delicious cakes including the chocolate amaretto cake to die for. I took the family there and we ordered '1 of everything' and cut them into pieces - yum. The cheesy scrambled eggs is a favourite, too. The cafe is also a gallery with lots of small gifts and items, and it's all very original and quirky and characterful. Antique mismatched china cups and saucers, a lovely yard for sitting out in and a fireplace and squishy sofas for the winter. Look out for the teacup tree and Mr Fox in the loo! Cats are unobtrusively around and and the lovely Sadie the dog is friendly (particularly if you have scrambled egg) but always polite.

Having visited nearby Arundells, we were looking for somewhere to have lunch, we choose the Sunday roast, simple no frills, just good home cooked fayre, small wine list, local beer and an unusual cider, Breton, served in a bowl, definitely recommend it. Worth noting they only accept cash, if needed ATM is only 5 minutes away.

We enjoyed a good lunch in this restaurant, it's menu is reminiscent of the old style Wimpy Bar and Golden Egg restaurants. I consider this as good thing! The food was appetising and well presented, served swiftly by pleasant staff.A testament to its quality and value is that many of the diners appeared to be regulars. We will no doubt return when next in the city.

A very decent stop during our tour of the campus there, had a decent selection of souvenirs and a solid enough selection of snacks we didn't feel the need to go off property looking for a nibble and a drink . Good service.
