Visiting Salem. This place was recommended by someone at the Notch Brewery so we decided we'd try it. Excellent!Breakfast burrito my wife got was very flavorful. I got the breakfast sandwich (keeping it simple) and really enjoyed it. Coffee was also worth the stop

The homemade Tuscan bread is delicious and the sandwiches are generous with a price point that is affordable. I send Salem Visitors who ask me my recommendation for a good sandwich, soup and salad in a casual setting right here. When I take a friend out for lunch but donât want to break the bank I bring them here.

This is a great place to go for a hot chocolate, itâs open quite late so perfect for October evenings. They have a huge range of beverages to pick from, and you can have a few samples to help you choose, including some vegan options. Definitely worth popping in.

Our fist stop as we arrived in Salem. We needed a cool drink and something between a snack and a meal. We found it. We each tried an iced tea. You can open the jars and smell more than 30 different mixtures. I had Rhapsody which is a Chinese black tea with black berry and raspberry in it. Delish cold. I choose a small sandwich as well with brie, ham, and jam. Just right. The decor was like a tea room but not straight-backed and starched; very cozy with windows.Don't forget to use the restroom because it has the most amazing wall paper!

The food was good, but nothing to write home about. The service was very friendly but the staff seemed to be very stretched--there were a number staff members running around busily, but there seemed to be only one waitress attending to everyone. She did a fantastic job and was cheerful and friendly in spite of what was clearly a stressful situation. What should bring you to this cafe is the art and the atmosphere, The reason we enjoyed it so much was the art--if you are a fan of pugs and French bulldogs, you have to come to this cafe. It was wonderful just looking at all the art (even in the restrooms!) and enjoying our food. They also have the nicest t-shirts, which we picked up. We will definitely visit again!

The Ugly Mug Diner our a modern take on classic American diner fare. Everything is made from scratch, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and always served with love. In addition to our extensive food menu, we also have a huge variety of mimosas, a
They put out a great breakfast. I had the Florentine Benny twice. Pancakes and omelettes were great too! Only complaint was that they didn't seem to think it was important to restock the crab cakes over the three days we were there. Great food, busy spot.
