Being a Rockland resident, I was hoping to love this place. It looks nice inside, but unfortunately, it's really cramped in the dining room and feels like people are hovering over you while you eat. I got the #4 which is steak tips and eggs. The portions were small. Just four small steak tips. I asked for medium, they were raw. The toast had way too much butter like it was dunked in butter. The homefries were barley average, again, small portion. The service was ok. Everyone was nice, but the game has to be to turn tables as fast as possible, which is understandable due to the lack of seats. My girlfriend had an omelet which she thought was a little bland. I don't like giving bad reviews and a lot of the food coming out looked really good, so I may give it another chance. Hopefully the next review will be excellent.

From the moment we walked in the door the vibes were just right. The place is nicely decorated and not overwhelming. It pays homage to local past history. We were cheerfully greeted and seated. The menu along with the specials we're nicely varied. The food was delivered in a reasonable time frame and was done very well. Everything we ordered was great (clay chowder, fish sandwich, grilled chicken, Cole slaw, fruit salad and bread pudding). The eatery and bathrooms were all very clean and tidy. Could not find a fault.

I have been patronizing MaryLou's News since the day they opened at this location. They serve a variety of flavored coffees, soft drinks, juices, pastries, donuts, newspapers and a small selection of necessary items like bread, and other grocery items. The staff is always prompt, friendly and they make a great iced coffee just the way I like it!

I stop here occasionally and it seems like most of the staff either doesnât care or they are under trained. They are never as quick as most of the other DDs i go to. And they vary the way they prepare their coffee to the point that it is very inconsistent
