This was our first visit to the restaurant. We’d heard many good reviews of it. My husband didn’t realize it was a total health food type restaurant. He ordered a beer. She snapped back by telling us to go down the street to another restaurant. I explained it was our first visit. Next I tried to order a wrap that had delicious ingredients but also had spinach and lettuce. I ordered but asked not to put those 2 items in my wrap. She said she couldn’t do it / wouldn’t do it and I should order something else. I’ve had 2 feet of intestine removed and cannot eat that raw roughage. She didn’t care ! The tall young man that waited on us was very nice. The senora that I think either owns or manages Salud was nothing short of RUDE. Never smiled. Thank you for the advice senora. I will go down the street were people are at least courteous. Dear Dana,My name is Willy and I’m one of the owners here at Salud. I will start by sincerely apologizing for your experience here at the restaurant. No excuses, no one should ever be treated as you were, here, it’s not who we are. We obviously displayed an inhospitable, ungraceful and unwelcoming attitude, which is not our goal I can assure you. To be clear we are very grateful to be part of this wonderful community and feel humbled to have been embraced, as we have been, since we arrived back in 2011.I cannot blame you for not wanting to return, I’m not sure I would feel any different. If you decide you would like to give us another try, I would like to invite you and your husband to breakfast or lunch, on us! It does not erase what has occurred but I would love the chance to show you who we are, almost always:)I’m really glad you enjoyed the food and that you felt Danny’s kindness.Thank you for your feedback as it is extremely valuable and key to our evolution as a business and human beings! Sincerely,Willy

Azul Bistro

If you’re looking for a good breakfast in a low vibe setting, you’ll like Azul. Being located away from the beach and major streets, it’s void of crowds which is why we returned. FOOD:Fruit Plate Seasonal - $3.25 USDThe spouse’s dish. In addition to the fruits, the bowl was also topped with yogurt and granola. The spoonful I had was fresh & delicious. Generous portion for the price. Vegetarian Omelet - $5.00 USDDon’t judge me as I added bacon (and not charged for it) to the mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and asparagus-filled omelet. Gotta have a salty meat with my eggs! Fluffy and folded, it also came with a few sticks of crispy seasoned salt steak fries and fresh melon. SERVICE:Down home and friendly! Love the ladies here who always take excellent care of us. OVERALL:2020 can’t come soon enough!

Mi Cafe

Reviewed By DonnaDAF

A nice walk inland through the Zona Romantica neighborhood beyond the normal tourist track takes you to the cozy Mi Cafe. A great place for breakfast (omelets and French toast) or lunch (creative burgers and salads). Food is beautifully presented, tastes great. Warning -- burgers are served on bagel buns; you might need a knife and fork!

Mr Cream Pancakes and Waffles is a long standing breakfast restaurant serving Puerto Vallarta locals and Visitors to the city for 13 years now. We really love what we do and our customers have rewarded us with a incredible responce to our breakfast offeri

There was no problem finding a parking space even though there were people waiting to be seated.Mr. Cream has an extensive menu for “North of the Border” breakfast items; pancakes, waffles, French toast with many variations on those items from fruits to Nutella and chocolate. Crepes, breakfast meats (ham, sausage, chorizo and bacon) and hash browns are available. There is a fruit plate with or without yogurt and granola. Liquados, smoothies and juices are offered. They also serve typical Mexican breakfast items also such as Chilaquiles, huevos divorciados and chorizo omelets.I had a plain waffle with bacon and a fruit plate. I was able to pick which fruits I wanted. (I don’t like papaya and nearly every fruit plate I’ve eaten has it.)Everything was delicious, warm and cooked properly. Hubs had pancakes (2) with banana, nuts and whipped cream. He enjoyed it and couldn’t finish it. (That’s a first.)Our friends had chiliquiles rojos with chicken and a waffle with Nutella, nuts and whipped cream. Both said the food was good. There is seating inside (with a/c) and outside overlooking the marina. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. We sat outside. Our waiter came immediately and took our drink order. The food took about 15 minutes to be served but, fortunately, all the food came at once. Coffee and iced tea refills were done without asking. All the condiments came with the food and we didn’t need to request anything (That’s a first!) There were cool mist sprayers installed in the ceiling to make for a more refreshing dining experience. The bill came to 685 pesos ($39.U.S.) for 4 meals and 4 beverages. It was an enjoyable experience and we’ll return to try the French toast and other offerings. I would recommend this restaurant.
