Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Puerto Montt. Established by German immigrants in 1853, this is now the key port, transit and business hub of the Lakes District – a good place to replenish supplies, pick up Chilean crafts and get an urban jolt before moving on to more pristine pastures. If you're in the mood to sample some of the famous local salmon, the Angelmo harbor market should be your first stop. From there, it's a short boat ride across to Tenglo Island for views of snow-capped volcanic peaks. Santiago is a two-hour flight away.

A great place in a traditional cazona just 2 blocks away from plaza de armas in downtown Puerto Montt. Great menu with lots of seafood for a very reasonable price. The gratinated crab was just awesome.

We dropped in for a not-too-late snack after a tango show at the Teatro Diego Rivera and ordered two vegetarian sandwiches and tea. We regretted asking for the sandwiches toasted. I'm convinced no one south of the Rio Grande has any idea how to make a piece of hot buttered toast. It was barely warm and soggy on the bottom, but we ate it as we were hungry and we could see the restaurant was about to close as they locked the door and weren't letting anyone else in. They graciously allowed us to take our time finishing our tea without rushing us out the door. The service is good, the food not so much, perhaps it's better during the day?

i came here for a Mojito and i loved it: i hadn't tried one so sweet and tasty since i was in Cuba. The vibe and design of the place make it the best bar option in the city. I also came here to eat a pork sandwich. I hated it. It was really expensive, but really small, presentation was unpleasant, the pork was very hard and overall it just wasn't good. You can come to drink. Ask for anything but a sandwich.

Not a restaurant, but a take-out deli (comida para llevar). Or eat at one of the few spaces available, including 2 tables on the sidewalk. I had a delicious lunch of pumpkin (zapallo) soup, chicken and avocado sandwich, fresh fruit in a cup and tea for $3,000 pesos. All is freshly prepared and delicious. Not salty as is most Chilean prepared food. Local office workers stop by for a fresh salad, pita sandwich or wrap. Located near the plaza. I will return often.

We are Aussies and Sydney has a pretty high standard for coffee. This place - finally - made a good coffee! The food is amazing. Fresh made, healthy and really well priced. The decor is amazing and the service is genuinely best we have had in all Chile. Highly recommend this cafe, especially for those that are used to a good cafe culture. Will return!

The restaurant has a simple formula: you can choose from 4 different courses. All are simple but really delicious and made with love for food. Everyone gets the sample small starter and desert. There is espresso from Illy. The place is hip, kind of bohemian. Lovely!!

Really good coffee. Good food and good service. The place is on another level compared to the other cafés we tried in Puerto Montt. The freshness of the food, the friendliness, the attention. Oh, and yeah, really, really good coffee.

The location is excellent in downtown. The interior is wooden made with a warm atmosphere. Food is good and tasty. However the service is poor. The first time I went there, I sat more than one hour waiting my order which was fish and salad. Second time, for a Beef with chips I had to wait 45 minutes and went away. Not a worth.
