Elsa and Noemi cook the most delicious empanadas, humitas and homemade bread, as well as other specials, (Locro, homemade cakes). The service is impeccable and very friendly. This is an authentic experience offering incredible food and service at great prices. Go on a Sunday to sample the empanadas and bread cooked in the wood oven...DELICIOUS!

We popped in for a light breakfast, which consisted of coffee, two small pastries, and juice. A lot of people were having the same.Awaiting our order, I saw a waiter clear a nearby table. The customer had a left a full, or nearly full, glass of orange juice. To my utter amazement the waiter stopped behind the counter and dropped off the juice before taking the tray into the back. I watched in horror as our waitress put it onto our tray and brought it over us. WHAT?!? I don't know if it was untouched or if the last customer had a sip. And neither did they. But there was no way I was drinking a strangers discarded juice. I couldn't complain as my Spanish is not good enough to explain what I had seen, so I just left it.While we were drinking our coffee I saw our waitress clear another table, this time with two full/nearly full juices left. Yes, you guessed it, she dropped them off behind the counter and a minute or two later delivered them to a new table.I'm disgusted by this practice. Not only is it icky, but what if someone has a cold or something and the germs get passed on? Just grim and wrong.

A vegetarian sandwich (not vegan as it had eggs ), 2 emprenados and a Green mixed tuna Salad ... leaf lettuce none of that white 'stuff ', was our menu. Of course the food was to be divided by 2. Elements Torrents was our selection for the food and it married superbly. The outside tables are more like lounges and the best we have seen in almost a month in ARGENTINA. A Very Recommend Restaurant.

Arriving late into Salta and staying at Alejandro I I just needed something veggie friendly, quick and close by. This is a pub, so hardly haute cuisine, but the service was good and the food was massive. They had several vegetarian options in the usual pizza, pasta, risotto vein, but also including a milanesa, a dish that I'd been wondering about having seen it on a lot of menus so this gave me the opportunity to try it. What I got was a huge slab of soya (quite dry and stodgy, not like UK fake meat soya) in breadcrumbs, smothered in cheese and tomato and with potato wedges. Not exactly a diet food but it hit the spot. The wine was pretty nice and super cheap.

This a small cafe right next to the museum (MAAM). Service is good, food is ok. A nice place for a quick snack and/or coffee after going to the museum. You can sit inside or outside, depending what you look for.
