We went to Hollywood Beach cafe after not the best weekend. They took my blues away. Delightful breakfast beautifully plated in nice dishes . It felt so comfortable and welcoming. Simple surroundings. Outstanding attentive and friendly service. Simple homey and wonderful. You can see why itâs s localâs favorite.

Celebrating 10 years in downtown Oxnard, Fresh & Fabulous Cafe is now located in Centennial Plaza near the movie theatre. Serving fresh, house-made specialties like quiche, burgers, soups, falafel, salads and more.
Expecting much more because of the name, we were sorely disappointed. First off, the fruit was old and tasted of refrigeration. The toast seemed stale, even toasting did not seem to help. Veggie omelet was way too smothered with cheese: overwhelmed the taste of the vegetables. Partner had 2 eggs with hash browns, reporting the potatoes were greasy. Noticed that the floors and windows were grimy- looking- not an appetizing environment. The staff seemed exhausted- no smiles to be seen. Wish this were a better review because we were looking forward to a âfresh and fabulousâ breakfast!

Ordered the Egg Rancheros for breakfast and a chile relleno (to take for lunch). Didn't care for the Spanish sauce served with the eggs, glad I ordered it on side. Fortunately there was Cholula on the table which I had on my eggs making them very tasty! The chile relleno had a few tough pepper spots in it, but it too was very good. A generous size chile relleno for lunch. Prices are on the higher side and the quality of the food is good. Now the banana bread is another story. I ordered a slice of banana bread and it was $2.85. That way overpriced for 1 slice.
