I recently stayed in Newport for two nights at The Whaler motel a few blocks from Cafe Stephanie. can't say how Cafe Stephanie compares to other breakfast options in Newport because I had such a good experience here my first morning in Newport, that I came here the next day. It's a small place with a friendly staff. The food is great as is the price.

Stopped in Sunday for breakfast at this little weekender spot. I'm not a fan of counter service but this was no problem at all and very efficient. The little spot is so cozy that the counter service for ordering and paying works best. It also affords you friendly access to the chefs as they cook and they can answer questions or offer to customize something. Hubs and I shared biscuits and gravy and a Denver quiche. Pastry on the quiche was flaky and delicious and the meat, cheese and peppers were very fresh. The biscuits were perfectly done and the gravy had excellent flavor. The servers were so friendly and happy to be there and our coffees were never empty. It's the perfect home town kind of place. We will be back there next weekend to give the Reuben a try. The view of Depoe Bay Harbor is great. We watched seals and sea lions sun themselves and boats come and go right from our table-- and we weren't even right next to one of the big windows!

We stopped here on while walking through Depoe Bay checking out the shops. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Could use a better menu board system. I only saw one when we walked in the door, but then my husband said he saw another one off to the left. We managed by just telling them what we wanted. The coffee was very good and the price is very average for premium coffee.

It is dark in here and it stinks of homeless hippy bums. This places closes up too early. The staff ignore you. Just forget it.

Ordered a salad, shrimp and lettuce sat under the lights and salad plate was HOT-beware-unfriendly after a long wait to get in and a longer wait for food-unsafe, unclean, too small, one small bathroom and cleanliness was clearly an after thought-no room for wheelchair to sit or to use restroom-is this not illegal/immoral???
