This café has a lovely traditional ambience and a wonderfully friendly staff. The choice on the menu is impressive and better value for money is difficult to find. Cup of tea for £1.00 is not to be laughed at. You will not get a gourmet five star meal here, but come for the curious decor and enjoy a good traditional meal of a tea.

I've been coming here for breakfast since the change of management. Food has been consistently good and served by friendly as helpful staff. Really good little establishment and worth a visit. Reasonably priced too.

I have been going here for years, both of the girls do a fantastic job, always big smiles so the service is great. The food is spot on, and the place is immaculate. The best breakfast in Newbury by miles, (their thick cut griddled Bacon is delicious), No giant frying pans of fat (like some) in this place, all the food is cooked on the hot plate. apart from my chips or hash browns of course... keep up the great WORK

Inspired by French cuisine and Parisienne bistro style. Cafe Rouge is your local bistro to enjoy delicious food and gorgeous glass of wine.
My husband and I visited for lunch. Had a tasty chicken club Sandwich and beer battered fish. Food was excellent. Our waitress, Hannah was lovely - friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Traditional charming tea and coffee shop serving huge range of light meals and snacks through out the day inc. breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and cakes. Catering for most dietary needs. Established over 30 years ago
Stopped here for a quick lunch as we were working in Newbury. Rude staff to start with, that were anything but helpful!! I ordered a jacket potato with chicken, which was brought to the table after apparently being cooked within in 2 mins??? More like a flat potato covered in chicken sandwich filler I wouldn't have given it to my dog. Pizza was also ordered and when it appeared, it was a small skinny slice of flat baguette with a bit of tomato puree on top and cheese. It had been clearly microwaved as the cheese was runny and greasy and the bread part chewy. Very disappointing all ways round, and wont be back again.

We are a family run business based in Wash Common, Newbury. We love good coffee & great food and want to share this with all our customers! â We are passionate about serving our customers with the best ingredients. Our coffee is served to you in the best
Enjoyed some authentic Punjabi home cooking by the owner's mother and sister at the Supper Club. Great atmosphere and our group of 4 shared a table with an interesting local couple - you sit at long tables and they can only accommodate 20 people so it's quite intimate. The owner is lovely and it makes you want to support their business in this part of Newbury, although the £35 cost for food only (plus £5 corkage as you take your own wine) is on the high side. Having said that tickets sell out fast.

We were Visiting Newbury and saw the good reviews on TripAdvisor. We weren't disappointed we both chose noodle soups from a good selection on the menu. Lots of tea to choose from too, we had Jasmine. We shared an excellent pudding to finish. The service was exceedingly friendly. Although we don't live in Newbury we plan to visit again in the summer to sit outside next the canal.
