Thank you TripAdvisor. Like most,we were touring the Tuscan wineries and had stopped at Banfi for tasting. Before just blindly heading back to Montalcino, my amazing wife looked up the best restaurants nearby and found this local gem.We arrived around 12:30 or so and the Male proprietor was still finishing off hand writing the menu for the day (already a good sign). He apologized for not being ready but we told him we were in no hurry. Two bottles of wine and three courses later we had finished one of the best meals we had in our 18 days in Italy!! Everything was just so incredibly FRESH and prepared perfectly. The waiter was kind, courteous and helpful with his recommendations and was patient with our spotty Italian. For ambiance there was something so special about this out of the way Tuscan treat! We could hardly recommend it more!! Perfecto!!

My favourite cafe/bar in Montalcino. I love it because the people are friendly, the outside seating is perfectly placed for people watching and there is a range of interesting drink options as well as the Brunello/Rosso that is ubiquitous in Montalcino. the coffee is tasty and strong and is dispensed speedily with a smile and a warm welcome. Great place.

Ideal for a snack, a simple and tasty lunch break, an aperitif or a drink after dinner. This place will also offer you a spectacular view of the Val d 'Orcia from our terrace garden.
What a wonderful place! It's in the open air with an amazing view on the valley. The owner is very friendly and offers a variety of delicious wines. He also has a small menu with different local specialties, using only the freshest products. We ordered the cheeses, which were varried, some surprising and all very tasteful. Then we had the tartare, which was super fresh and had delicious seasoning. To end we had Cantucci e Vin Santo, which were amazing! A great place for drinks and lunch/dinner!!

As we arrived, wet and bedraggled, seeking shelter from the Learesque storm that raged outside, the staff here did not appear altogether pleased to see us. Their attitude changed markedly as our c30 strong party filtered through and began to order prodigious amounts of alcohol. Our initial misgivings were proved to have been unjustified as the team swing into action mixing Aperol spritzes, pulling beers and popping Prosecco corks. We had a great time in this elegant time capsule of a cafe.
