Came across this little cafe walking around the marina, whilst staying at the Travelodge across the road. A perfect little place for breakfast. We were there about 9 am and they were already busy, so we had a short wait to be served, as they were a staff member down, but really, 2 very tasty cooked breakfasts for a total of £9, including tea and bread, what's not to like? And the surroundings are quirky, with memorabilia all around.

Iâve been to this tearoom a couple of times, itâs in a lovely location next to the Carlton cinema. Thereâs seating upstairs and downstairs, the downstairs is also a book shop which makes it lovely to sit in. The staff are very friendly and bring everything over to your table. The Christmas cream tea is lovely and will definitely be back again for it this year. Always have a very large selection of cakes and snacks. And really great value for money and quality baking.

We love visiting The Galley for our breakfast when we stay at the nearby large chain hotel. I honestly canât think of anywhere else that does a better breakfast. The ingredients are excellent quality, the service is excellent, the view over the harbour is excellent. The owner and staff are just so friendly, and itâs reasonably priced.

£25 for their high tea was one of the most expensive I have ever paid. The food was of good quality and too much for us to eat. Having said that, there was barely enough clotted cream and jam to cover my scone, it had to be carefully arranged. They weren't that busy, but felt slightly forgotten about. It was generally ok, but very overpriced which was a shame.We are sorry you were 'disappointed' with your recent visit to Corby's. We are surprised you feel £12.50 per person is expensive as previous feedback suggests we are not charging enough for our good quality and plentiful tea. It is our policy to tell people when they arrive for the High Tea, that if they require anything to just ask and we also ask once during their visit if everything is okay - otherwise we like to leave people in peace so they can enjoy their food and each others company. After extremely good visits to the Patrickbourne Mama Feelgood we thought we would try this one at Quex. To say we were so dispointed is an understatement. No greeting when we came through the door and there were only 2 other people eating there. Staff not too friendly and some of advertised home made cake wasn't!! Didn't feel very welcomed. Sorry we wont be back

Visited on a Thursday night in a group of 6 the restaurant was full and with just one chef the service slow. The room is a bit small and dated however the food was excellent and more than made up for any shortfalls in other areas. Loved that it was a byob which saved a fortune- glasses provided and a shop opposite if you do not bring enough with you A great place to go for a relaxed meal with the best Thai food I have ever had .

WOW saw the red bus cafe on Facebook as one of the top 10 places in Kent to eat and I wasnât disappointed. I had the hangover hash and was delighted with an alternative full English my wife had a light bite breakfast of the most amazing mushrooms and tomatoes on toast,along with a fabulous breakfast the view from the top of an old double decker bus across Margate beach and fantastic friendly staff made for a great morning treat. A superb place for a lunch time snack or afternoon tea, never seen such a long list of different and unusual teas. Linked to superb friendly and super efficient service. Canât fault in any way and anyone visiting Margate would be mad not to try it, but donât count the calories. Just be warned must pay by cash.

Typical lunch fare and nice ice cream. Unfortunately the original owner, who was an Italian, used to make his own delicious ice cream next door - in what is used currently as a health club. Since he has passed away there is still good ice cream but not quite what I remember from my childhood!

A hidden gem,used mainly by regular clients,because it is in my opinion unique.Been coming here for years,but only occasionally of late.We had two breakfasts,you choose how many items you want,then choose what makes up those items,for example how many eggs,how many sausages.This is good for me,as I like my own balance,not what others tell me i can have.The serving lady remembers everybody's name,and is super friendly.Value is good,as is quality.
