We were looking for a new lunch spot and found the Restoration Cafe on-line. We had not heard of this cafe- I would encourage them to consider advertising (Hippo?). Just super and something for everyone! We enjoyed the Relax Juice, PB & J Bowl, the butternut squash quinoa cakes, salads, the Local Burger, and finally, a yummy oversized cookie. Juices and smoothies are half price when ordered with a sandwich or salad before noon. Our server mentioned additional menu options on the weekend (pancakes, waffles, Bloody Mary, etc.). There is a lovely patio area, also. The cafe is located on the ground floor of The Flats on Hanover Street from 9am to 4pm.

Nice to have a cafe within a museum. This is bare bones decorating and menu. Both had salads. The Currier salad is similar to a Cobb salad with balsamic vinegar - very good. The pear salad with blue cheese was excellent. Reasonably priced.

On a particularly dreary stretch of Queen City Avenue, you will find this hip little spot, populated with friendly staff, cool customers and tasty food. It's not a table service place; you review the chalkboard, order at the counter and sit at one of the comfortable tables or sofas. The squash soup was delicious, as were the turkey club and banh mi sandwiches. Owners are socially conscious and trans/queer friendly. Manchester needs more places like this. I wish they were closer to downtown!

After touring the Mill Museum, we were hungry and they recommended the Waterworks Cafe. I had the porto mushroom burger and soup and my husband had the grilled cheese and soup. Everything was very good, and it was nice that this restaurant is located in one of the old mill buildings, since we had just toured the museum.Thank you! Be sure to come back and visit us again!
