Come about 11AM on Sunday, most menu not available. Waiters don't know what he's doing. Some staff ate and chewing while standing on the counter.Table was dirty and plate was crack. Ordered Bubur Manado was ok, But Fruits ice was no fruits at all, just ice and syrup.
(This review is for both breakfast and dinner). My room include breakfast here, so I was there every morning. Omeltes can be made to order, but I was hoping to find some good Indonesian food. There are several tables with what looks like a set of items that comprise a traditional dish. One of them had a soup that looked like corn chowder, very thick, with a crust that made it look like it had been standing around for several days. The other had similarly unappetizing dishes, except one that had some chopped coconut with peanuts in a honey sauce. It was yummy. There were also some corn fritters with a spicy sauce, which were fairly good.Five juices are available, and they are all very nice. As you go around the buffet, there is usually one steamed vegitable, a tofu dish, some "saussages" that look like hot-dogs cut in half, bacon that lookes like processed meat with grizzle, noodles (I actually had noodles for breakfast one of the days), pancakes, and some meat dishes. All the meat was inedible. It is hard to understand how meat can be so tough, unless is microwaved. One morning there were pieces of salmon that looked overcooked, but worth a try. I was unable to take a bite, it was so tough and dry. I can understand if there is no good meat available locally, but it must take a lot of work to ruin salmon that way. Even microwaving salmon should not produce such a tough, dry result. I am baffled. The first night I tried the cafe for dinner, and had a dish with "grilled chicken, fresh vegitables, and rice". The chicken must have come from a scrawny little thing, and I think it was warmed up from a previous day. It tasted good, but it was hard to find any meat on it. The "fresh" vegitables turned out to be raw cabbage, which I was not willing to eat because it was raw. The obligatory bowl of dry rice didn't help. Sorry, but I like some sauce on my rice. I decided to eat casaba chips from across the street for three of the nights, not wanting to experience another dinner in the cafe (and too tired to walk into town). On my last night, some colleagues decided to have dinner here, and I didn't have a choice. Someone ordered the beef tenderloin steak, which is probably the most expensive item on the menu. I knew by then that it was a mistake, and was not surprised to see that the person had a very hard time cutting the meat. The color looked like medium rare, but I have never seen such tough steak, let alone tenderloin. I took the suggestion to have a chicken noodle soup, which was OK. Maybe soups are OK as long as the meat is shredded. One of the days we went to a fast food place at the mall, and the food there was much better. The difference seemed to be that it was cooked to order, even though it was a cheap restaurant.

Had a lunch here for its rp10,000 mix rice set deal with officemates. Menu is quite limited since it seems like a new restaurant. But the nasi campur deal was really great deal and tasty. Besides the nasi campur, we had some soto or soups and fried noodle with gado gado Javanese salad. All are tasty and filling. Best of all its cheap price and clean premise. Will be back again and recommended.
