We visited this cafe today on the recommendation of a relative. We were not disappointed. A friendly welcome and a lovely mug of tea with a very filling bacon bap. The bacon was delicious and one of the best I have tasted. The full breakfasts looked very appealing. Would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

This was our welcome the other afternoon, okay it had been a great weekend for weather and this was a Monday around 2pm, but Wilkins & Sons with a head office 15 mins up the road and a distribution service in Maldon, how can you run out of key items that make up 60% of your menu? We went a week earlier, young lad was extremely helpful, and the girls very pleasant, but on this visit, the different staff were rude and service very slow. A big disappointment and well below the customer's expectation. Look, this place has great views and in the summer it is a hive of activity but when the sun shines in winter, make hay and not treat customers as rudely as you did. Even if you cannot get supplies for your own company, just nip to the local supermarket to ensure customer satisfaction, but that's not what Wilkins and Sons wanted on this occasion. A real shame.

I was lucky enough to find time following a court case in Chelmsford to visit the penultimate day of a rather splendid exhibition of surreal art in Hayletts Gallery in Maldon. Instead of waiting outside the pub for the 31 bus I took the opportunity of visiting the Maldon Coffee Companyâs inviting new premises for a flat white and an all too tempting pot of yoghurt and fresh fruit straight from a refrigerated counter atop the bar. I particularly took advantage of one of the decadent white fluffy chairs which would not have been out of place in the most hipster of Hoxtonâs dives.

If you visit Heybridge Basin & after walking about fancy some refreshments, then right on the sea wall you will find this establishment. The staff there are very friendly, they can provide you with some good food & there is plenty of seating also there are fantastic views across the estuary.

Best coronation chicken I have ever had. The salad was so fresh with an interesting mix of leaves and hubby has the all day cooked breakfast that he said was one of the best he has ever had. The tea came in a huge teapot, hot and strong, along with a cute little milk bottle full of milk. This was out first visit but it definitely wont be the last. Looks like we have found out pot of gold in MaldonThank you so much for your kind words, they have made our day! So glad you enjoyed your time with us, its so lovely when customers note the finer details. Makes it all worth while! Thank you once again!

Founded in 2014, Mrs Salisbury's optimises the Great British tea room. Our tea room is proudly situated in the blue plaque dwelling of the late Edward Bright, The Fat Man of Maldon. Occupying Rose Cottage at the rear of Church House, our quaint tea room o
My friend and I really enjoyed our afternoon tea today. Often have lunch at this lovely place.. it really is an oasis of calm...first time we've had afternoon tea here and I couldn't fault it. The staff here are always so friendly and make every visit special. The afternoon tea is beautifully presented and better than London ones. Excellent value for money. I had a gluten free afternoon tea and it was wonderful. Gluten free scones were perfect, you couldn't tell the difference. I would highly recommend Mrs Salisburys any day but their afternoon tea is definitely worth going for.

Went here for a family lunch for the first time today. We wanted something different to pizza/pasta places and didn't fancy a pub lunch. Thought we'd give Cafe Brazil a try and really glad we did. Lovely relaxing place, staff are friendly and the food was excellent. I've never had a Moqueca before (think fish Stew with coconut milk) and it was superb. Rest of the family enjoyed their food too. The restaurant staff (all family owned and run) let us look around, they have a lovely courtyard garden at the back and they really made us feel welcome. We'll be back and I really recommend everyone support this place! The independent, unique and different places like this really make Maldon high street a place to visit with something surprising and different every time. Thanks for sharing your experience at Cafe Brazil it means a lot to us .
