First the Good. Friendly staff in family oriented atmosphere of typical small town eatery. Large Fluffy homemade Biscuits. I found the skillet potatoes tasty although wife found them too spicy. Pork Chops were nice and moist but lacked any flavor. Wife's chicken fried steak was as thin as a piece of cardboard and overcooked.
They have really good daily lunch specials at a decent price. The special changes depending on the day of the week. You will get plenty of food and a dessert with the special. Friendly and attentive staff. You can also order it as take-out but no delivery. My only complaint is their 'smoking section'; it is walled off but the smoke still makes its way into the main eating area which can ruin the taste of a meal.

A small restaurant on FM2920/Main Street in Tomball. Not fancy decor. Just plain delicious food. Luncheon plate specials. Breakfast is always a hit. We had walnut lunch salad and a BLT sandwich with great potato salad. Friendly staff and very quick service. Have dessert if you have room left. The blackberry cobbler with ice cream was unbelievable.

We were passing through and saw this place listed on TripAdvisor. we passed it because you donât see the restaurant at all from the street. After parking and then meandering down a wooded path, you come to a restaurant situated between small bridges and turtle families of different varieties. Lots of diners coming and going. The hamburgers looked great and I should have stuck with that but the special of the day also sounded good and included dessert. The special was a BBQ sandwich which was way more bread than meat which I tore apart and left most of the bread. The bun was good but too much of it and little BBQ. The small dessert was premade In small cups and served from the refrigerator. One of us had chocolate cake and the other, a type of pudding. The staff was friendly and service was good. Funky and fun decor! We will go back but will stick with the hamburgers.

Words "warm energy' has been used often to describe Hummingbird Tearoom. This energy is coming from the reclaimed wood tables, antique chairs, and the aroma from scratch-made baking. Our teas are sourced from all over the world, single origin organic teas
I love this wonderful small family owned Tea room. I've been there many times. The scones are delicious and never dry. It gets busy at lunch time. For some special experience/or occasion: Make a reservation and ask for the "Afternoon Tea".

This is a great place for lunch. I had to wait awhile as my friend had gone to the wrong restaurant and the staff was very kind and let me order a drink while I waited. It got crowded but they never asked me to leave. I did finally order and my friend showed up. Great sandwiches, and especially dessertâ-I had the bread pudding, my favorite, and it was beyond what I had hoped. Thanks, Whistle Stop!!

We have been eating at this restaurant for years. They have the yummiest chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. If you are there on Friday you have to try the eggplant parmigiana as a side order. The atmosphere is that of a small town country cafe. It is not beautiful or fancy, but you will not regret eating there.
