Reviews on Cafe food in Lysaker, Eastern Norway, Norway. Lysaker is an area in Bærum municipality, Akershus county, Norway. Lysaker is the easternmost part of Bærum, and borders Oslo proper. Lysaker was initially a farming community, later becoming a residential area. Today it is primarily known as a business and trade area, and a public transport hub. It is considered part of Stor-Oslo (Greater Oslo), and is home to offices of numerous domestic and international businesses.
Giving a shout out to the fine chefs at the Schlagergarden Kafe. Super delicious food at reasonable prices. The menu changes daily and offer well prepared, seasonal food from scratch. There is a big bookcase of cookbooks by the entrance that these creative cooks use regularly. It was difficult to decide what to order here because it ALL sounded so delicious. Nothing too fancy, but real home style fare.We split a lot of small plates in addition to fresh soups and salads and sandwiches. It is a casual affair and out of the city centre but worthwhile finding. The restaurant itself is a very old farm house and has a pleasant, comfortable dining area. I am guessing that most of the diners are regulars and local. It felt as if we were visiting someone in their home. After eating in many restaurants in Oslo, this one was our favorite and most memorable. The bread is amazing, the chef owners are extremely lovely people and enjoy doing what they do and it shows. Wish we had room for dessert, they looked so tempting. Come here and enjoy a taste of real Oslo, off the beaten track.

Miso Café is a cosy place at Roa in western Oslo. The café serves all types of coffee, as well as great soups, salads, sandwiches and Asian dishes. The facilities can be rented for private parties.
My favourite cafe at Røa, Oslo. Whether you want to go for a coffee, a glass of wine or a meal, you are always made to feel welcome there. There are tables downstairs and upstairs, and also a nice outside area whether permitting. They serve a large selection of hot drinks, I am partial to their Chai Latte. Service with a smile, good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The cafés at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (Norsk Folkemuseum) offer tastes of traditional Norwegian food.
Arkadia is right next door to the Folkemuseum and can be accessed directly from the street or from the museum. It offers a variety of excellent sandwiches, pastries, cakes, cookies, snacks, espresso, cappuccino and other espresso-based hot beverages, beer, sodas and water. Its rustic interior offers plenty of tables and chairs, with flatware and napkins on the table. You pay, pick up your food and take it to the table you select. Good quality food and beverages.
