Reviews on Cafe food in Lyme Regis, England, United Kingdom. Lyme Regis /ˌlaɪmˈriːdʒɪs/ is a town in West Dorset, England, 25 miles (40 km) west of Dorchester and 25 miles (40 km) east of Exeter. It lies at Lyme Bay on the English Channel coast at the Dorset–Devon border. It is nicknamed "The Pearl of Dorset". It is noted for fossils found in cliffs and beaches that are part of the Heritage Coast—known commercially as the Jurassic Coast—a World Heritage Site. The harbour wall known as "The Cobb" appears in Jane Austen's novel Persuasion, in the John Fowles novel The French Lieutenant's Woman, and in the 1981 film of the same name, which was partly shot in Lyme Regis. Its one-time mayor and MP was Admiral Sir George Somers, who founded the English colonial settlement of the Somers Isles, now known as Bermuda. Lyme Regis is twinned with St George's, Bermuda. In July 2015 Lyme Regis also became "tripled" with Jamestown, Virginia, as the Historic Atlantic Triangle of Lyme, St George's and Jamestown. The 2011 Census gave the parish and electoral ward a population of 3,671.

Our customers and our suppliers are rebellious by nature, and what makes us happy makes them happy too - but to some, we know, we are a challenge. Happiness to us is cooking working-class food, juke box music, kids running around, chatter, gossip and, mos
This place totally rocks. The food is epic - full on flavour, beautiful and heart-stopping! The atmosphere is magic with great music, smiling customers and the chef/ owner with a great sense of humour and straight talking approach. Very refreshing and inspiring for my own business. Well done you guys. Keep up the great work x

Really excellent food but one lady serving us today was beyond passive aggressive to the point where I questioned how much more anyone could hate their job. The younger waitress was delightfully helpful that it made it even more glaringly obvious how poor the other ladies service skills were. She seemed so offended by our presence as a family with two small kids who really enjoyed their meal. However she actually rolled her eyes when we ordered steak for our 10yr old son. Everything just seemed way too much trouble that we very nearly left. At the end when we asked if they accept Amex she complained about the high charges that and I felt like saying well donât accept it then if youâre going to make a customer aware of how much pain theyâd are going to cause you.The food was excellent but even the table next to us felt her wrath when they asked about the dishes before ordering.

We always enjoy this lovely hidden bakery in Lyme but I fear it is almost a bit too popular for it's own good now, especially in high season. The simplicity and great food with the relaxed chalet style tables and fab coffee are social and so lovely but ...maybe consider having a waitress per table to ensure walk offs are less easy. I hate to see such a little enterprise being ripped off. Good luck to you all, you deserve to do well.

This café is easy to miss, but well worth a visit. It is small, just a few tables but very pleasant. Popped in for a coffee, no problems at all. Very clean with a "Very Good" food hygiene rating.

We stopped her on a drizzly afteroon - two very good Devonshire Teas and friendly service cheered us up - although we find that that Cornish are right about the order of the jam and cream :)

We have been coming here infrequently for many years when we have visited Lyme Regis. Today we stopped by for both breakfast and afternoon cream tea. Both were excellent. Service is very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be coming here again during our short stay. Dogs are very welcome too.

Visited for tea and cake after a lovely walk to and from Lyme Regis. Beautifully decorated, exceptional homemade cakes, vegan and gluten free options (advised to phone ahead for a wider selection next time, which I thought was really accommodating), superb teas, and a really lovely couple to wait on us. We sat in the garden and enjoyed some visiting pooches. Highly recommended.

Just tea and cake for us, on a sunny afternoon, our first visit, if it had a view I would have given this 10/10 even so the food drinks and staff were all great. And a fabulous price.. wanted to try more but only here for the day.
