My family loves this place. Even though everything we have ever had is good, we usually stay with the same dish... “Sage Biscuit Platter”. OMG, so yummy! You get eggs, meat, toast (or a sage biscuit!), the absolute best breakfast potatoes, AND french toast!!!!! You will not leave hungry!!! And I love that you can get mimosas here!!!!! They have several tables outside, but it’s usually too hot! Inside there are only about less than 20 tables, but the wait is worth it!!!!!

Toasted Mango

First visit to Sarasota and we wanted a change from hotel breakfast. We walked over to the Mango and were so glad we did, although we passed much construction - commonplace in Sarasota these days, we were told. We had our pups so we sat out in the side yard. Would give 5 stars except for the construction going on immediately across the street, although the workers were personable. Not Mango's fault and the service was excellent; the food outstanding. Highly recommend.

La Creperie Caffe

This place is hidden on the second floor of the building. We are a family of crepe lovers so we try every time we see a new spot. We went with very low expectations - we had been in Paris a few weeks back and we knew it would be hard to find a crepe like the ones we had there... however, what an amazing surprise!!! The crepes were so delicious and made very similar to the Parisan ones!!! They were rich, flavorful, and big! Sadly we visited La Creperie on our last day in Sarasota. Hopefully, we'll find time to go there before the year is over. Thanks, guys!!!

Delicious breakfast and lunch spot near St Armand's Circle. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The only negative is that the place could use a little sprucing up in the paint and decor department. The prices are a little high - but the place is so popular that they get it. Be prepared to wait quite awhile during season.

Have previously reviewed the Sunnyside Cafe, last time we were in a Sarasota, first time patrons for a delicious breakfast. Happy to report that lunch did not disappoint. I had the chicken and basil panini while my wife had the roasted vegetables. Both were excellent! Fresh, well seasoned and perfectly prepared. The service, like the last time was excellent. I think it is the Old World Hungarian attention to detail!?!Would recommend this spot for breakfast or lunch for good food, reasonably priced, well prepared and served with a warm regard.Don’t miss it, next time you are in Sarasota!

My wife and I went in on an impulse. The entrance is small but the interior is true "diner' all the way. We ended coming back a few days later with friends. Breakfast both times and everything we ate was delicious. Nothing "fru fru." Just really solid well prepared large portioned breakfast food. And not to forget: the service is quite excellent. Soon as you are seated someone appears at your table. I think it was the owner who kept filling our coffee cups and who insisted we take a "traveller" with us.

So glad this place was recommended to us because we would never have stopped in this mall to eat by just looking at the outside. When you go inside it is a typical narrow diner with tables along the wall and a seating bar on the other side. But if you walk the length of the restaurant there is a door in the back that opens to a lovely patio under a shady oak on a quiet and peaceful river. Who knew??? To top off the lovely setting under the shade of the oak with cooling breezes, my friend and I enjoyed delicious sandwiches and they were very reasonably priced. We also had a very pleasant server who said "have a good day Hon" I haven't had that nice southern friendliness in a long time. BTW I had a bagel with lox that was terrific.Thank you for your review. We’re so glad you found us. Come see us again sometime. Glad you had a great experience.
