Friend wanted to meet here for breakfast. The cafe is not reason enough to make the trip. Not a destination kind of place.Everything grand in the big Thunder Valley Casino. There are other places here worth a visit. Food & service are good. Place is clean. But not worth special trip. Stay closer to home.

I wanted to find a new place for breakfast before a movie with a friend and discovered Karen's Little Cafe. This gem is located in a strip mall near the Lincoln airport. We opted for California Eggs Benedict (avocado and tomato) with hash browns. It was delicious. We were made to feel very welcome at this little spot. We picked up a to-go menu as we left and will back back soon to try lunch and their home-made soup. The parking was very convenient on this rainy day. It is open daily for breakfast and lunch. No dinner service.

Basic diner food, done as expected. My egg over easy had its white fully cooked, while the yolk was warm and runny. The pancake was light and fluffy. The sausages were basic (Jimmy Dean??). My eating partner had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and half tuna sandwich. The soup was homemade. Even the waitress noted it was somewhat different each time. I liked that I was asked if I wanted lemon in my ice tea before it was served. So overall it was a fine basic meal. By the way, they have a senior menu with pared down portions and prices.

I found list place when I was in desperate need of a coffee while in the area working. They had recently opened and the place is fresh has a cool vibe. I ordered a cold brew which was strong and exactly the pick me up I needed. They staff was super friendly and quick to get my order done. Seeing as no one had made a TA page yet, I figured my experience was good enough to where I would start it up for them. As well as the cold brew I would also recommend the latte, they do cool designs with the foam too. They are hidden away in a shopping complex across from Thai Orchid. While I havent tried the food ( I've included a menu in the pics, they serve mainly bagel sandwiches and salads), the coffee is good and customer service is on point.
