Vegetarian food is not part of the Costa Rican menu. Organico satisfies any heath- conscious vegan with an amazing variety of delicious protien choices (beyond beans). Quinoa- and chickpea- based dishes are served with delicious side, healthy salads, and sweet shakes, all vegan. We only ate dinner here, but the breakfast menu we saw was about 90% vegan.

Stopped by for late lunch, we were only patrons. Food was good, not spectacular but for price point decent. I had an iced mocha. It good but for an absolutley great coffee there are other establishments that are better. Id recommend this for sure. The service was excellent which would be expected since we were only patrons.

The chicken shrimp Volcano dish had a red pepper sauce which was overwhelming and completely saturated everything in the dish. Too much does not make a meal better at times this is one of those cases.

We really enjoyed doing here for a beer and a snack after enjoying the afternoon at the la fortuna waterfall! A sweet resident dog came to visit our table was out on the patio and the weather was perfect! We had chicken nachos and chicken soft tacos and they were amazing! The sweet puppy might have gotten a bite or two! Just behind the restaurant, there is an animal shelter owned by the owner of geckos! They have some of the sweetest puppies! The second floor of geckos has a great view and the 3rd floor is reserved for cooking classes that you can schedule! Next visit, we are definitely going to do that!

Moka has the best location in town for enjoying a relaxing meal and coffee. It sits right beside the river on Calle 468 where one is able to relax in comfortable armchairs and watch the iguanas and beautiful birds which inhabit this part of town. We enjoyed the house special panini - large enough for two - followed by a crepe filled with fresh, sliced strawberries and melted chocolate and served with vanilla icecream drizzled with chocolate. Yum! The frappè coffee, made especially for us without sugar was very good. We were served complimentary iced water the whole time we were here. It's now three hours later and we have returned for lattès. This is probably the most relaxing and nicest food place we have visited in the two and a half months we have been in Central America.
