Things to do in Kyneton
Had a nice walk around piper street and saw the local sites. We were heading for the Albion pub for lunch but it was closed like most of the other top rated places in townHowever a few doors down was this great little cafe, with home cooking , homemade pies looked good so we stayed for lunch and coffeePie was served with a nice salad and fries

We can't comment on the food because we only tried the coffee. The coffee was great and it's the best in Kyneton.unfortunately the food on display didn't look inviting and there was no restroom available for customers. If you are looking for a decent coffee then this is the place to go. I always order a coffee extra hot and most baristas still serve me a luke warm coffee. St Beans definitely served an extra hot coffee! I was impressed!

I've been to Hamster a few times. Today the mug of latte was $6. "organic coffee and organic milk" was the explanation. Hamster also purports to be dog-friendly but there seems to be a few conditions attached to that. Owner wasn't too pleased that our tiny pooch did a no. 2 in the backyard even though we cleaned it up. Food is good but you can say that about most other eateries.

Good coffee, yummy food and a not-for-profit/training/social-enterprise running the whole thing - three great reasons for choosing Social Foundry in this crowded cafe scene. Kid friendly, especially in warmer months and space for a quick catch-up/meeting with colleagues, customers or friends.

Long black coffee, iced non dairy coffee with a home made vanilla slice and a hedgehog cake - all very tasty. Beautiful home made quiche on display as well. All baked fresh , sandwiches looked good too.

What a find!! Iâm besotted with the prawn linguini with pesto, chilli and peas - relish!! Love the chai latte - made with high quality chai tea and served hot, frothy and with a tea strainer. Great selection of house made cakes, pies and take home meals. The service is efficient, friendly and thoughtful. Itâs my go-to when i am in Kyneton around lunch time. Keep up the great quality and standards!!

Nestled in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges in the township of Kyneton you'll find Ruby Cafe. Serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. Fully Licensed with outdoor seating
Kyneton on a Monday morning doesn't appear to have a large range of breakfast options but we found Ruby Café open (but not serving). All very peculiar as kitchen staff was there as was service staff but (at 7.47) we were told that we couldn't order breakfast until 8.00. It was like waiting for the bank to open with a countdown until 8.00. We were served coffee in the meantime and given menus - very odd. Shame it all started so badly, as the coffee and breakfast were really enjoyable and well priced. Silly thing is they really didn't have to say anything as we would have been happy to sit with a coffee and menu - which is what we did in any case.

Home Grown on Piper in Kyneton has become famous for its delicious curries, salads, Aussie and Sri Lankan foods. We revisited it today, as we have done several times, and was not disappointed. Had a delicious chicken and vegetable curry, washed down with a great mango lassi. My partner had the same, plus a melt in your mouth warmed pear cake plus a latte. We are never disappointed in the food here.

Relaxed dining in Kynetons' heritage-listed Piper Street. The menu is based around seasonal, quality products sourced locally wherever possible. Little Swallows' innovative and enthusiastic chef regularly updates the specials board, and the menu is change
Heading to Bendigo for an exhibition at the art gallery and stopped her for breakfast on the way through. Everything from the service, people, coffee and food was superb. The fire was crackling, blankets outdoors for those needing to be out there. Bit cold for us at 2 degrees. When deciding where to stop on our return trip, decided Little Swallow needed an afternoon tea yes too. Again, all wonderful and so pleased we returned. Will be heading to Kyneton to visit the markets and hope to be able to visit this cafe. If you are looking for. A stop on a drive also, easy to get on and off highway, not far, and simple, Thanks Little Swallow team
