Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Kobe. Famous for its luscious beef and crisp, pure sake, the Japanese port of Kobe is a thriving metropolitan city with an international feel. The sake-brewing season runs from October through April, and that's the best time to take a tour of a kura (the Japanese word for brewery). Visit the Hakutsure Sake Brewery Museum year-round. Naturally, the nightlife here is prime perfection.

Another guest described this restaurant as "spartan" and I agree. It has no ambiance. It gets very busy at breakfast mainly because other guests don't realise there are other options such as the Terrace restaurant overlooking the pool and the buffet in the Japanese Restaurant. The breakfast buffets were good but the dinner we had there was expensive for what it was and mediocre in flavour.Fairly average but it serves a purpose, and there are few other options close by.

Had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon, and the view is fabulous! Request a table by the window or on the (covered) terrace and you won't be disappointed. The food was high quality and thoughtfully well-prepared. We visited during the Beatrix Potter/Peter the Rabbit themed menu, and had a lovely cold roast beef lunch, with soup, salad, rolls, coffee/tea and a small dessert for around 2,200, which we thought was a good deal. Service was very friendly and they have an English menu, which is always a plus. I highly recommend this place if you're up Rokko Mt.

Stayed at the sheraton and this is the breakfast restaurant. It has a pleasant and airy garden feel, like the name implies. The food variety disaapoints though. Japanese breakfasts are usually better but not here. No grilled salmon and the soft boiled eggs are hard boiled. They don't even ask you whether you want coffee or tea which is surprising

We made a brief stop after visiting Kawasaki museum on the way back to the train station. This cafe is located on 2F, above the cake shop. Isnât cheap, we paid close to 2000 yen for beef stew set (that came with rice/bread, dessert and tea/coffee) and a slice of chocolate cake. I enjoyed the chocolate cake - mildly sweet; beef stew was blend and prepackaged so my Husband was kind of disappointed!

Since all look so pretty and delicious, you got extremely lost choosing what to try especially for your first visit. The store is located near Motomachi shopping street, of which entrance is nearby Motomachi station or just continue to walk from Sannomiya shopping street.I've only tried 3 pieces on my first visit but mentally decided to try all of them in my future visit. The store was full when I visited (maybe because it was holiday) and around tea time (~3pm) but it seems very popular anyway. The sweetness is just amazingly right (as what you expect from delicacies in Japan) and all have just the right combination of fruits or nuts to make you not tired of the full and creamy taste of diary ingredients. Well, as many others who have been here, I highly recommended it as one of the representatives of Kobe exquisite sweets treat!

We stayed at "nearby" Hotel Pearl City Kobe on this Port Island. The whole place is quite depressing in Japanese standard. Lots of vacant land and in the middle you find this huge IKEA store. We were told that there is a restaurant there so we decided to walk from our hotel. Yes, we reached IKEA but where is the restaurant? But first we have to find the front door! We end up walking around the whole block (American size block) and finally found the entrance. The restaurant was on the second floor but we could not get there without first walking through IKEA's furnishings and other stuff. The food was good and very affordable. It is a cafeteria style but they make most of the entrees fresh so that was nice. The place was huge and felt like an office or factory cafeteria with no atmosphere. Most of the people eating dinner were singles with their laptops or smartphones busy doing whatever they like to do. Some were reading books or magazines while eating. We were the only westerner there eating as a family. Next time we will take the train or hotel shuttle to Sannomiya or Kobe to eat dinner.

Eggs 'n Things is on the second floor of Harborland. It has some prime Harborland real estate with a perfect skyline view from the lanai out front. I sat outdoors and had an amazing view. The weather was perfect and I actually felt like I was in Hawaii! They have an English menu, but none of the servers spoke English. Service was a bit slow and inattentive, mostly younger kids working here. I had a piña colada and a pancake sampler. The food and drink was spot on and tasted great. Yes, the pancakes seem almost a dessert item with so much whipped cream! Best part of dinner was my view and the people watching. If you need a break from Japanese food, this is a good place to hit!

Read good reviews of this place, went there for coffee and realized lotsa tourist too. Its good for some picture taking instagram worthy place due to its history, but for a coffee lover we thought the coffee tasted meh and too acidic for our liking. Plus, its pretty expensive for coffee of this grade. One cup of black coffee (Nishimura blend) costs around 600yen. Saw many tourists who came here for breakfast, took pictures and lots leftover food. Guess many come here just for pictures taking and posting, not really for the coffer nor food.

The restaurant is a church-turned-cafe, with beautiful interior which makes for a wonderful dining experience. The coffee is nice, however the food served are standard western fare (club sandwiches, burgers), nothing unique to the Japanese culture, and could be bought at any other place. The bakery downstairs was nice though, and pastries are recommended :)

I give it a 2 star as the manager didnât charge us any of it but I need to tell the truth about this place! First of all it was nice seating, the manager was very friendly but the food was just wrong, we ate the first 2 as we were so hungry but once the lasagna arrived we just couldnât take it anymore! Was just soooo bad that I had to tell him, I was soooo disappointed that even the chef come out arguing with me! It tasted curry lasagna, it looked dry, they even put pesto on top! Come on, who puts pesto on top of a lasagna? I just told the manager that I am very sorry but I couldnât eat there anymore & that his food was so bad that I needed to leave! I felt bad but I am a foodie & I just couldnât help it! Thank you for visiting us at Cafe de Paris, and your feedback as well.We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your time spent with us.We are be working on improvement so we can have the pleasure of serving you again in the future.
