Reviews on Cafe food in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States. During the Civil War, Knoxville's Mabry-Hazen House served as headquarters for both the Confederate and Union armies. Today you can visit the house and other historic homes in this eastern Tennessee city. Among Knoxville's other attractions are museums, a zoo and World's Fair Park, site of the 1982 World's Fair. University of Tennessee sports draw lots of fans, as does the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. To see Knoxville from the water, take a leisurely riverboat ride down the Tennessee River.

Quaint breakfast and lunch spot in Knoxville's Old City from Chef Dealejandro. Locally sourced, house-made and from the heart! You'll find daily special from seasonal farm vegetables and meat smoked for hours in the back along with outstanding service! GF
Fantastic food and really nice staff. I had the bowl of the day, which was a lamb and black eyed peas with pickled onions and a fried egg on top. Really quite spectacular and a LOT of food. Coffee is delicious as are the biscuits. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice.Love the atmosphere. It is very comfortable and there is fun art on the walls. The staff is really nice. They don't have espresso based drinks, but encouraged my friend to go down the street to Old City, get one and bring it back to have with her breakfast.

Location, service, and food are excellent. We had the Hash and the Biscuit & Gravy. Nicely presented, the dishes are appropriate for what lies within or upon. The sausage is particularly good in the gravy. The smoky meat in the hash is incredible. We started with a macchiato. While Northern Italian style roast was apparent, which is a good start , the drunk wasnât constructed correctly. The cream used was not correct for a macchiato. The decor is an opportunity for improvement. Highly subjective, but the drab industrial vain decor doesnât support the excellent food. This establishment could easily be the best place in town with some small atmosphere adjustments. With that, itâs my new favorite breakfast in Knoxville.

A friend took me for breakfast/lunch and wow what a great surprise. The restaurant was amaziingly clean and impressive. Our server was so wonderful-full of smiles and suggestions. We pretty much shared our foods so that we could sample them all-A.M. Superfoods Bowl, Roast Beef and Havarti sandwich, Chicken and Black-eyed pea soup, Farmhouse Hash, and fresh orange juice. Absolutely everything was good! I will definately be going back.

One of my favorite lunch places. They have a wonderful menu but I always get the vegetable soup with corn bread muffins. Oh my goodness, it is the best I have ever had. Perfect combination with some sweet tea. Great service. Can't wait to go back soon!

Cafe 4 entered the downtown scene almost a decade ago, truly becoming a pioneer in Knoxville's substantial urban revitalization. Unbelievable to those who have only seen Market Square in its enlivened state, downtown Knoxville was anything but desirable a
We are on a Saturday around noon and were seated immediately. The staff members were all very friendly. We had the chicken pecan sandwich, burger, and fruit. Everything was great. The food was all fresh and prepared perfectly. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommend

Lived here 14 years and tried this for the first time on the way to Saturday Farmers Market. Delicious! Great menu options with everything from biscuits and gravy to pancakes and tons of different omelettes. Our service was efficient and friendly and our food was wonderful! The restaurant was clean and comfortable and in a great location. So glad we tried Pete's and will definitely be back!

I took friends who were visiting from Maryland here Saturday. They had lived in France as have the restaurants owners. Susan shared that her favorite is the salted caramel on buckwheat with whipped cream so we tried it! Wow, was it delicious. Not overly sweet, which we liked, and a great combination of flavors. A new favorite. Try it!

Had breakfast here once, year ago probably and it was very good. In the area today and it was lunchtime, so... Had one of their daily specials for lunch. It was Salisbury Steak. Looked and tasted homemade, which is good! It came with a creole sauce that didn't really resemble any creole sauce I've ever had, but it tasted good and went well with the Salisbury Steak. It came with 2 sides and a corn muffin. The corn muffin was tasty. Crispy in the outside and soft on the inside. Excellent. Sides were mashed potatoes, which were very good, and stewed cabbage. Now listen up, the cabbage had spices in there and, WOW, it was great. Stewed cabbage! Who'd have guessed it could be so good! Sat at the bar and service was great despite the waitress busting her tail with other duties during the lunch rush. I'll definitely go back when I'm on that side of town. All in just over 7 bucks, plus a good tip, for a great plate full of food from great folks. Thank you for your awesome review. We truly appreciate your business as well as your kind feedback. We strive to make everyoneâs experience a pleasant one. Hope to see you back real soon. Thank you again. GO VOLS
