Lots of variety for breakfast or brunch. Food was good but needs a little tweak. For example pancakes with maple syrup bacon and eggs was swamped in syrup drowning out other flavours. My baked eggs were delicious but the onion was under cooked and the side order of mushrooms tasteless. Service was very friendly and efficient. Very busy little cafe with great atmosphere.

This was not a pleasant experience. Firstly I will admit my wife was hungry and ate her entire dish and said the mussels tasted good. Unfortunately my dish of beans, scrambled eggs and ground corn chips was underwhelming. Scrambled eggs were over cooked. However the main issue was the stench from the mussels! Both myself and my daughter were dry reaching over the smell as was another diner whose friend had similar. It was likely done in a fish sauce but was so unpleasant that I have ordered my wife to never order that sort of dish again!

This gorgeous little lunch spot sits in the middle of lavender fields. We went in winter so not much lavender around but it was still lovely. They sell a whole lot of lavender products made there including bath salts, moisturiser, massage lotion and so on.The food menu has daily specials and includes a soup, which was a Japanese ramen style soup the day we were there, quiches, salads, a curry, and sandwiches. Simple but everything was very fresh and hearty. For dessert the lavender honey ice cream was a highlight with espresso on top -the ultimate affogato.Thank you for taking the time to visit Emu Bay Lavender. We our glad you enjoyed our fresh lunch menu and had a chance to browse our shop full of home made lavender products.

If good coffee, friendly service and the idea of a Secret Garden appeals to you, then head to Sarahâs Sisterâs cafe on Semaphore Road.Really warm, friendly service, great coffee and lots of quirky fittings, fixtures and nic-naks tucked here & there. The rear room very cleverly looks out, through big glass windows, into the plant section of the adjacent garden centre.A little hidden gem on Semaphore Road.

Friendly service and delicious cakes. I had a tart that was custard with stewed fruit and crumble on top. Different and yum! Would recommend

We came across this lovely café after leaving Kingscote airport on our way to our accommodation at the other end of the island. I loved the quirky gardens, lots of things to look at and to find. Lots of bird activity and we saw the snoozy wild kangaroos in one of the enclosures. Inside the café is a mini art gallery with other interesting things to see. We had a light lunch of a ham salad baguette followed by carrot cake, enjoyed by both of us. We had a warm welcome and good service.

Wow, totally disappointed with the experience. The coffee was burnt and way too hot. Burned the roof of my mouth with the first mouthful. From there it was down hill. The decor is non existent but clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and sufficient for the crowd having breakfast. The price was average but the coffee, the whole reason you go to a coffee shop for, was crap, even after it cooled down, it was bad. Plus my taste buds and the roof of my mouth are still suffering many hours later. We may have been the one bad order for the day but I can only comment from my experience and I won't go back

This is a lovely space situated inside a sort of upscale farm shop in the Barossa. It reminded me a little of Daylesford Farm Shop in Oxfordshire, UK. The grounds are fantastic and well-planted with climate-suited succulents and the like. Birds a-plenty too.The menu is small but with some lovely dishes. I had a starter for lunch based on brussels sprouts and black hollandaise and bacon. A lot tastier than it sounds! They also serve non-alcoholic sparkling Cabernet and Chardonnay grape juices which were really refreshing. Their ciabatta bread was delicious and the butter that came with it was particularly good. Service was brusque but efficient. Not a lot of friendly interaction but that didnât detract from the food and the surroundings that much. Definitely a great place to stop on a trip around the Barossa.

Watching Neil Perry cooking on this very beach at Stokes Bay on TV more than 5 years ago was what made me want to come to kangaroo island. This cafe didn't disappoint (except Neil wasnt there )Friendly service , great seafood including garlic prawns and a seafood basket. Nice local wines to match and a view of the pristine beach. Super chilled and with the drive. A short walk through the amazing rocks to the secret beach which is one of the most beautiful ever.

Not much in Lyndoch, but if you are there do yourself an enormous favour and go to this place for dinner. The chef , James, is exceptional, could be cooking anywhere he wants, but here is is.I'm a gnocchi nazzi, he'd made it that morning , and seriously, it was so light and smooth I couldn't believe it.If he has made pasta , just have it , he is brilliant. That aside everything else he did was exceptional. We cancelled highly rated places to go back to him.And you can have breakfast and lunch too........................all brilliant. This is not a cafe, it is an wonder .James, keep up the brilliant work, and your great staff.Hey Mark,Thanks for your lovely review. We love having guests like you who understand that what we do we do with love. Hope to see you back again next time you visit the Barossa :-)
