The food, the service, the staff and even the managers are definitely the highlight of this cozy restaurant. It is surely on the price side but you definitely (and i mean definitely) get your moneys worth at this place. The food is just amazing and they serve huge portions. The staff is very friendly and kind and even the manager came out and offered a free dessert sample just because we bumped into each other on the train. If your in kandy and if your looking for a elegantly prepared full-filling meal DeliFrance is the way to go.
OakRay Heritage Boutique are designed to reflect a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere. Add to this, a menu you can ponder over for hours and you have everything you need to escape the pressures of daily life.
Pros:Located next to Temple of the holy Tooth. Seating on a beautiful balcony. Very nice staff. Within a nice souvenir shop Oak Ray.Cons:Food was disastrous: pasta was too soft, mushy salads. The charged 1300 Sri Lankan Rupees for veg noodles which way way beyond what you pay around.
I accidentally met one Italian staff at the main entrance. He recommended me this wonderful place. I liked the place so much. Their menu is included very tasty homemade food and healthy drink. I recommend you that you should come here around 5~6pm for sunset through the window. The stuff is very good, decor is interesting, the owner is super helpful and he made me feel special. Keep on your good job! Thanks!

The highlight of our Sri Lankan holiday was the opportunity to be invited into a beautiful Sri Lankan home (with a stunning garden) and be taught step-by-step how to make several traditional dishes. The dishes included Coconut samball, Fish curry, Water cresse and Dhall curry. We even got taught how to get the coconut milk from the fresh coconuts and grind the herbs using a traditional hand press. After the amazing cooking class, we sat outside at a table overlooking the garden to enjoy the fruits of our labour. Every mouthful was delicious. We really appreciate our driver (from D.S tours) suggesting this, as we would never have had the opportunity. The dishes have been easy enough to make back in London as we have been able to source the ingredients really easily. Thanks

Mlesna Tea Center is a nice place to momentarily escape from the hustle and bustle of Kandy and have a nice cup of tea. They also have good desserts, try the chocolate cake. Downstairs there is a retail shop where they sell Sri Lanka's best teas. We came here twice and really enjoyed ourselves.

We visit Mlesna Tea Centres in various places as we move around Sri Lanka because the quality of the tea is excellent and there is a good range of varieties from which to select. In Kandy the place is very clean and service is good. The Centre serves casual food and other drinks so one can enjoy snacks in pleasant surroundings. It is also an educational place where you will find details of tea plantations in Ceylon.

Nice clean place. Staff lovely but disorganised. Why did I, and every table around me, have to ASK for the menu!! The coffee is good but what a weird and unappealing continental breakfast. Just me and I got a breadbasket which would have fed 6 people but the bread was stale and frankly pretty horrible. There were cakes, again far too many. Two pieces of the sliced cake had bits missing and looked exactly like someone had picked a bit off and left the rest. You need to remember what was on the fixed breakfast menu as it might not appear unless you ask.Watched while the chef chatted on his phone and had to be told by the waiter that the order of eggs he was putting on the pass was wrong. Those customers got off lightly as their eggs had been sitting getting cold for some time.Would go back for coffee but nothing else. Sorry waiting staff, you were so nice.
