It was Saturday night, and my wife and I were looking for a place to chill after a long day of skiing. North Country General was phenomenal. They had a great local band playing old timey and folk tunes, several good microbrews on draft, and good food-we really liked the kale and mushroom flatbread. Iâve stopped by on a few mornings for their coffee which is also excellent.Thereâs one long table, so itâs not a dark romantic get-away, but it is cozy, warm and authentic

This is a very small and local cafe for breakfast and lunch in the small town of Wardsboro, Vermont. It is in the first floor of a house on the corner of the main road through town. It took a little time for the preparation of our breakfast for six people, but we enjoyed our meal. The breakfast menu is pretty basic, but it has good choices and the prices are very reasonable. When we were there, they closed at 2 pm, not 3 pm as suggested by other websites.

The Deli is located in the Stratton Village. There is good coffee, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, etc for breakfast. For lunch there are many specialty sandwiches to choose from. One orders at the counter and your meal is prepared in the open kitchen just beyond the counter. During warm weather there are tables outside to enjoy you meal. The staff is friendly. Prices tend to be on the higher end but the food quality is worth it.There is a grocery off to the side.
