Reviews on Cafe food in Isle of Arran, Scotland, United Kingdom. Packed to the gills with antique silver, porcelain and furniture, the red sandstone Brodick Castle is one of the highlights of the Isle of Arran. The castle overlooks Goatfell, a majestic hill that’s a popular day hike. The Machrie Moor stone circles make for a mystical field trip, as does a tour of The Arran Malt whisky distillery.

Located In The Grounds Of The Isle Of Arran Heritage Museum, Serving Light Snacks, Lunches, Home-bakes And Coffees
On our first, very wet, day on Arran, we wanted a coffee and noticed that the Heritage Museum had a cafe - so in we popped. We weren't expecting much, to be honest, but found a place that served excellent light meals, wonderful baking and a really decent coffee. The main strength of the place, however, was in the unforced enthusiasm and friendliness of the two girls running it. You couldn't meet anybody more pleasant. We ended up going back every day and really missed it when we got home.

Generous portions well prepared and all at sensible prices . The only carp I have is that water is charged at 50p per glass . Oh the damage wrought by mean hikers who no doubt are responsible for this. At least provide a jug for 50p.Hi, not sure if you have reviewed the wrong place but we don't charge for tap water and provide free refills for water bottles?

First time we visited here, we were eating our food when cook brought out scones, fresh from the oven! Necessitated another visit, on another day - we weren't disappointed. Excellent.

We were recommended the Shore by a friend, and was the best meal we had during our family break on the island by far. The food and service were both outstanding. One of our daughters is coeliac (gluten free) and it was no problem at all catering for her, she could have had a number of things off the menu and her lunch was delicious. And what an amazing location right on the shore. We are looking forward to returning on our next visit to Arran.Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us.We are so pleased your daughter enjoyed her gluten free lunch. We really do try our best to ensure there is something on our menu for everyone. We would love to welcome to you back to The Shore on your next visit!

Been visiting Arran for decades and never been here before. We were visiting Lochranza for a walk and fancied a drink and snack. I highly recommend Casks Cafe within the distillery. Staff very friendly and attentive. Drinks were great and the food was of a high quality. Beautiful views of the hills. A wide range of food and drink. Itâs licensed so take your pick! The toilets have Arran Aromatics handwash so thatâs a huge plus for me. I left satisfied having had a lovely glass of wine and a cheese toastie with the most wonderful salad but also left smelling great!

We were at Arran Aromatics and looking for somewhere for lunch. We spied this place next door and the deal was sealed when people walked out with the most delicious smelling takeaway.Home cooked, wholesome food. Delicious soups and toasties. The traybakes looked to die for although we didn't get around to trying them. The shop was all decorated for Halloween.Nice to go to somewhere that isn't a chain and where the food is all homemade. The staff were happy to heat our baby meal for us and they had highchair too.

Newly built Cafe Thyme serving teas, coffees, homebaking, delicious lunches, homemade bread and pides (Turkish pizzas baked in the wood burning oven), wines, beers and a large selection of loose leaf teas.Hamza the chef built the wood burning oven himself
Great food, great views and great staff. The Turkish pides are worth the trip alone. Add to that, superb hand cut chips and the lightest lemon drizzle cake, and you won't be disappointed. Great selection of teas and delicious coffee. The large, outdoor play area ensures happy children which equals happy adults.Hi Dianne,Thank you for your compliments, we're delighted that you enjoyed Cafe Thyme and look forward to seeing you next time!

We were staying at the nearby Auchrannie and fancied an early morning walk so headed to Little Rock, which opens reasonably early for breakfast. We had a fully cooked Scottish and a bagel, both were excellent, in fact too much food in the case of the full breakfast, but that is a good complaint. The staff are friendly and it is a comfortable place to eat. They also are pet friendly which I think is a good thing these days, especially on Arran.

Freshly made to order seafood dishes in a takeaway style dining experience using the best of Arran & Scotlandâs seafood. Supporting sustainable fishing. Limited seating & no bookings taken.
Rarely do places live up to the hype. Mara Fish Bar more than did this.We stopped in for lunch after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor and weren't disappointed. The Fish Tacos were simply awesome! Veggie options sounded tasty too & it's easy to see why tables were never empty.Fab view. Fab food. Fab place.A must visit for foodies.
