Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Indianapolis. High-speed, history and good old Hoosier hospitality are a few reasons to put Indianapolis on your list of great getaways. Sports is another. From the legendary Indianapolis 500 to the Pacers and the Colts, the city offers ample opportunities to view professional and amateur sporting events, take part in athletic events and visit sports museums. At the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hall Of Fame Museum you can tour the famous track (try to reserve tickets if there is a race in town) or visit the museum dedicated to automobiles and auto racing. Other sporty museums include the NCAA Hall of Champions. To get in on some of the action, head to SportZone which features six acres of indoor athletic facilities the whole family will enjoy. Those less interested in sports, or with kids in tow, can still find tons to do in and around the city. History, art and other cultural attractions abound. Visit the Children's Museum or checkout the zoo. Stroll along cobblestone streets past 19th-century buildings in the Lockerbie Square District or visit any number of historic landmarks. Known as the "Crossroads of America," more interstate highways bisect Indianapolis than any other city in the country, making it an exciting and easily accessible destination.

The breakfast we enjoyed today at Cafe Patachou is easily the best weâve had since we moved to Indy 13 years ago. I had the Smoked Salmon Bagel and my wife had Sweet Rubyâs Special, which is a sour dough waffle with a cup of thick tomato bisque. Each of them was 5 star quality!

Inspired by our Cuban heritage, my father and I have set out to create the most delicious and authentic Cuban Sandwich in Indianapolis. We also serve daily homemade Lunch Specials, old fashion pastries, and Cuban Coffee. We are a small shop with big flavo
Saved us after a dismal experience at Youmi!!My wife ordered a Mini El Cubano, which was more than enough and I had a Turkey Cuban Sandwich. I ate half and took half for later. I normally don't like pickles, but they were perfect Grandson hated the Gilled cheese, but he hates everything. Found out you get a free Cuban espresso with your sandwich.Sorry No Cerveza!!

Gwendolyn Rogers has created a storybook restaurant in a cottage. When you walk through the French doors, the sparkling chandeliers, antiqued mirrors, French inspired furniture, beautiful seasonal decorations and the rich aroma of the French chocolate cak
This is a lovely place to visit. Our family of 7 wanted to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Most of us were visiting from out of town and there is no venue like this where we live. A few recommendations: do not make reservations after about 7:30 p.m. (we had 8:30 reservations and they were sold out of most desserts) so if you plan to eat there, go early; consider carry out and enjoy at your leisure; pieces are huge so plan to share (youâll save $$ too). Coffees are very good and also beautifully crafted but ours were not hot, they were just warm (ask for them to be made hot).

My husband and I went here for the first time after hearing about the national accolades over the years. Don't understand the concept of making delicious dishes into something different - a culinary twist - for the sake of change. I got the grits made with blue chips, topped with a runny egg (with warning about undercooked eggs on the menu), bacon, and onion. I prefer cheese grits, which taste good, as this was like porridge. I don't get it and don't want to get it. And, what's the point of warning about an egg; just cook it to poached with yolk runny but not running and necessitating a warning about raw eggs. As happens in such places, the waiter seemed to consider himself among the initiated and elite. Funny, actually. Small portions, too, which is of course trending in trendy places. No thanks.

Breakfast restaurant; sister restaurant to Mama's Carolla's Italian restaurant next door
On a chilly Saturday morning, I visited Good Morning Mamaâs Cafe for a taste of Hawaii! The Hoosier LocoMoco is a wonderful way to start a cold Midwestern morning. Starting with the welcoming cup of hot coffee in the waiting area, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. I was seated at the counter and quickly welcomed and waited on by an enthusiastic waitress behind the counter. Friendly and knowledgeable, she helped me piece together the perfect MocoLoco for my taste. Diners around me were quite friendly and willingly shared their love for their favorite morning hang-out. I chose the Hoosier MocoLoco with potatoes, sausage, gravy, and an egg over easy. I chose to get the toast instead of the biscuit and had it served on the side so that I could smother the bread with the homemade strawberry preserves. It was a great choice if I do say so myself! Be sure to stop by if you are in Broadripple. Donât mind the wait! Just enjoy the free cup of coffee and the friendly atmosphere!

The food and friendly attitude of staff do not happen by accident. Yolk knows its business. Far, far better than the hotel restaurant just steps away.

Our family of 8 ate here for breakfast. Everyone had something different and everyone enjoyed their food. We waited for over an hour to be seated, but once we did the service was excellent. I think it's a bit on the expensive side ($13 for a 3 egg omelette, $9 for a waffle)
