Straight forward, no-nonsense cafe, open sensible hours and offering a good range of food. Veggie breakfasts can be built item at a time so my Son was happy enough there. The main sausage in my meal was a more budget one but nice enough all the same. Friendly staff run the cafe and you always feelwelcome. Itâs popular and has been there for many years, so that should tell you something!Their toast is lovely and the cuppa they make is spot on.

Cafe For A Fry Up!
I stopped here for a break from work a week ago. It was mid-morning, and we'd not had breakfast. I can't wait for another opportunity to go. It is unpretentious, but it is VERY good, for those times when only a fry up will do. The staff were lovely, humorous, and part of the charm. You order at the counter, and the food comes to your table. It is what it is. If you want fine dining, go somewhere else. They do about five menus for brekkie. I had the smallest.....more than enough!Have something with fried bread! It was so crisp....and so good. Will definitely be back.

In the beautiful Market Square in historic Market town. Our cafe is the perfect location for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Come and taste our home-baked cakes, our yummy menu oh and bring your four legged friends ....
We came here for breakfast after a weekend away. The service was a little slow, but we weren't in any hurry and our drinks arrived quickly. Staff were all very friendly and when the food (bacon sandwiches) arrived they were plentiful and really tasty. We would definitely return when in the area.

I visit this establishment regularly for a lunch time baguette, and an occasional coffe. This time had a friend along and some delicious cake. We also sat in as it was cold outside.

The shop is a converted 16th century Sussex barn that has been renovated to the highest possible standards. The tearoom courtyard offers beautiful views over the strawberry fields. It is situated along the A264, North Horsham and has ample free parking. W
Strawberry Fields Tearoom is situated amongst the best maintained farmland in Sussex! Lovely to enjoy a great cup of coffee with views of the beautiful countryside. A favourite with regulars and always lots of customers of all ages enjoying tasty food and drink. This year's maze looks wonderful and the strawberries were fabulous too. Interesting local products to browse, a really good variety of greetings cards and quality foods to take home too. What a great idea to expand the car park: much needed for their expanding public. A really lovely, easy to get to, out of town venue.

I found this place by accident while staying at the Premier Inn. Great value breakfasts to suit all appetites (the Beefeater only has a £9.50 all you can eat) Nicely cooked and one of the best sausages I have ever tasted. I wish all cafes were like this.Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Pleased you enjoyed the sausages. We think decent produce makes for a good breakfast. Hope to see you again soon

Called in for a light lunch and sat upstairs. Pleasant waitress who smiled but didn't speak much! Had a cup of tea (served with teabag floating in water in the cup) and a rather tasteless jacket potato with grated cheese filling. Nice little side salad on plate. Average experience, I would say! Nothing to shout about but nothing to really complain about either. Bill came to £9.15

The Cafe by the Lake, restaurant and bar is positioned on the beautiful Sumners Lake at Sumners Ponds in the quaint picturesque village of Barns Green. We are open to all, including day visitors, from 8.00am each day serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. F
We booked a table for lunch on Sunday afternoon for 6 people. The restaurant itself is very pretty, set in beautiful surroundings and has a good ambience, the menu isnât particularly limited but we still struggled to all find something we liked - the kids menu however is excellent! Our food was very good, not amazing but very good. The kids burger however was so dry it wasnât edible. We were served by a few members of staff, Iâm guessing at least two were on their first day - I asked one what flavour ice creams they had, she replied âsorry, I donât knowâ and went to walk off?!We ordered our desserts but had to wait an absolute age for them to arrive, in truth I think that they had been forgotten about!Eventually we just asked a passing member of staff to cancel them, she told us they they were being plated and then we finally received them shortly after - the charge for ice creams was removed from the bill which was a lovely touch. We usually always tip waiting staff but sadly didnât think it was justified on this visit. We will return and hope for better next time thoughThank you for taking the time to review our Café by the Lake at Sumners Ponds and we will take on board your comments.Iâm sorry that your experience was not a totally enjoyable one. With regards to the children's burger being dry, itâs always best advice to mention this at the time of your visit for our chef to deal with there and then. Its difficult to put this right after you have left. Please do contact us should you wish to discuss this further. [email protected]
