The restaurant is a tiny cottage in the middle of Hornbaek, not on the seashore but a little bit hided. The service is very good, quickly seated and served with smile and collaboration in understanding the recipes. The quality of the ingredient is good, meat and fish are more than fine and also the children's menu is ok (suggested the Frikadelle - Danish fish balls tastefull and ok for kids)The food is cooked very well, and very well presented - good point the sauces are seprated and so you can adjust by yourself. The only negative point is that the menu is not so long, only few recipes, but all are very, very good.Strongly suggested for a taste of the Danish recipes

Small cafe with a unique location on the harbor in Gilleleje, where the active fishermen, boat builders and marine painters can be followed from the terrace and balcony. We serve local and homemade specialities - e.g. to enjoy in our brunch, cold dishes,
Nice and good restaurant harbour front, we ate delicious fish with nice view and the waiters were very kind !

God betjening, og mange øl mærker, af høj kvalitet, nogle dage er der musik og dans på musik aften, så bestemt et besøg værd
It used to be a watermill - and they used to produce guns here! Quite unbelievable when today you are surrounded by grass, water and quiet outside this nice little thatched house! They serve delicious (fairly cheap) pieces of Danish smoerrebroed - and though everything looks old-fashioned, and there is a small museum inside, next to the café, they have an espresso machine and serve great cappucinos, etc.The staff were very competent and smiling young girls - and the only thing not to like were the toilets (in a separate building), which do not live up to the excellent standard of everything else.Open all year round but no doubt best on a dry summer's day!

We came to Gilleleje to look round and were delighted to find this place. We sat in their pretty garden, which had a relaxing atmosphere. We had very tasty vegetarian summer salads, good coffee and naught chocolate and peanut cake. Friendly staff and good food.
