A busy Saturday morning is not the time to visit this restaurant because the wait staff cannot handle the pressure and hardly hides their annoyance. Two of us found a table and sat there for what seemed like a long time while 2 waiters rushed by us several times without making eye contact and when we got the attention of one of them, he picked up menus but stopped to assist other patrons and when we curtesly tried to get his attention, he kind of flipped us off. When finally he came over, no apologies and he left without taking our coffee order. We felt like afterthoughts. Finally when the order arrived, we had to go ask at the busy counter for salt and pepper and was told we should ask our waiter. We would have if he was about. I might add, the salt and pepper was hurriedly dropped off at the table by an annoyed barista. The food was good, I like the simple, stlylish design of the place but owners, please train your staff to be pleasant, welcoming and polite to your guests because without them you donât have a business.

Went with my family for crepes last weekend. This was place was very good. We all shared several crepes. I had shrimp and mushrooms - very filling. Kids enjoyed the crepes with ice cream. I would definitely go back. We are glad you enjoyed the crepes. We appreciate your business.

We were looking for a breakfast place in the area and came across Rose's on Yelp. The outside is nothing special and for that matter, neither is the interior. It's clean but nothing charming or necessarily inviting. However, everything else is great! They have an interesting menu that had so many great sounding items, I did not know which one to choose. I ended up with the California benedict. It was good but had way to much sauce for my taste. I should have ordered it on the side. The service was attentive and the prices affordable. I would go back if I was in the area.

We have been going here for over a year and have never been disappointed in the food. Brenda, the owner, welcomes everyone who walks thru the door with a friendly smile and eager conversation. More tables have been added this year with lots of new menu items including "walk away catering' - salads etc made fresh and in the refrig case ready to take home. The soups and most other items are homemade and every Thursday turkey is roasted in house for sandwiches, hot or cold. The atmosphere is homely - think Grandma's kitchen. My personal favs are the homemade quiche Lorraine and Pesto Caprese panini. Brenda is experimenting with smoothies to add to the refreshments, she also carries Mash in several flavors, mine being Pommegranate Blueberry, plus Snapple and the other usual drinks.
Service was "so-so". Waitress was slow. It was extremely hot inside - maybe the air conditioning was on the fritz. I actually broke out in a sweat. My meal was great... 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, and sausage patties. My wife/daughter did not care for the overcooked waffle. French toast was just "ok". Orange juice was room temperature (which was WARM). It's average diner food....may, or may not return.
Soups On Main serves organic-style foods, farm-to-ladle, pot-to-table in a cozy, setting on historic Hackettstown Main Street. We offer a selection of healthy, fresh, organic-style soups, organic sourdough bread, and an assortment of hot and cold organic
We stopped by in the middle of the afternoon today for lunch. We each had a medium chicken soup with rice and an organic bottled tea, and we split a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was tasty, the soup was good with lots of chicken and I'd especially note that the soup was not overly salted the way most establishments serve it. I forgot to ask if the rice was whole grain. The bread with the soup was very good, and the bread on the sandwich (which may have been the same) was toasted and excellent. The total price was a little more than we expected, but we didn't see an itemized bill to figure out why we were surprised.
