We have a very chilled out space which is child and dog friendly serving great homemade food and phenomenal cakes and pastries as well as cheese and charcuterie boards, antipasti and a small but great quality wine list.
Pleasant rustic ambience and organic shop next door. They will thankfully do HALF PORTIONS of sourdough toast with scrambled eggs. Only comment is that it is the wrong bread for toasting, consequently the edge is crispy but the rest is SOGGY! Would have something else next time! Coffee looked good. My friend uses the place on a regular basis and sings itâs praises.
Abigail's is a new family run cafe on the Huffwood Industrial Estate (sister Cafe' to The Coach House Cafe in Patcham), open to the local businesses and public alike. Selling homemade locally sourced ground coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, jacket potatoes,
Just had a lovely chilli and jacket spud meal with my friend, really delicious and filling, would definitely recommend. The cakes looked lovely and yummy too

The Nutmeg Tree is a Tearooms/Restaurant set in the 1930's/40's. Traditional English ,serving morning coffee, all day breakfast, lunches & afternoon tea. Has a beautiful courtyard garden. Licensed & dog friendly.
Outstanding rendition of a classic English Tea House. Decor, staff, uniforms, service, food, tea, sweets all done brilliantly. Will return for sure!

Wanted a snack and wandered into here. Wish I'd read some reviews first £8 for eggs benidict is pricey for rural Sussex. However it was very tasty.

Came here with my wife for a couple of bits and decided on a late lunch/early dinner. We had the pie of the day, and sausages, both with mash and veg. We were surprised just how good the quality was. The pie (Meat & Ale) must rate as one of the best I have had in a long time, the pastry was not overbearing, another was plenty of meat. The veg was crisp, fresh, and varied. Service was friendly and everything looked clean.

Family run bakery based in the heart of Sussex. We pride ourselves in having a passion for good quality baking and excellent service.
I had to go to Henfield on business and Truffles was recommended to me, I have been in another branch so assumed it would be similar. It was. It's quite a small place narrow but long, the front consists of the bakery and service counter whilst the rear is the dining room. There is seating for approximately 26 patrons.Staff were friendly, the food was good value and tasty, would recommend it.Unless there was an entrance I didn't see it is not good for people with mobility issues. There are steps into the shop area then steps up again to the dining area.
Fuel Coffee House was born out of our desire to create a destination in the South Downs for people who love great coffee, awesome baked goods and appreciate all things automotive. Think of us as a club house for everyone.
This new venture deserves every success. With good coffee and quality pastries, it provides a comfortable space to chat with friends (or strangers) about cars - ancient or modern, humble or exotic. There's even a view of the Downs across the yard. Not to be confused with the café round the back of the estate, where you can still get a good fry-up if that's what you need, the Fuel Coffee House is more for a relaxing chat over a cup of good coffee. Friendly and efficient service is provided by Zara, the wife of Golding Barn Garage proprietor Olly, so if you have a car-related problem it might be worth popping across to reception to see if they can help. (I am a satisfied customer of the garage too.)

If youâre lucky enough to get a table in these tea rooms then I donât think youâll be disappointed. Beautifully fresh sandwiches, jacket potatoes and enormous scones both sweet and savoury as well as cakes. If you want âteaâ you may have to book itâs that popular.

My partner and I went to this place a lot when it was Taste Deli, but it's even better now. The breakfasts in particular are great. We've had salads, curries, and other meals there as well. Fresh produce, fab selection. They've got lots of veggie and gluten free options too. You can have cake as takeaway! It's dog friendly, although a pretty small space. The food would sometimes take a while to arrive but this is just due to the popularity & there usually only really being the one chef in! Understandable with a brand new business, still finding its feet.
