We love trying new cafes but this one seriously had me wishing Iâd checked the reviews on TripAdvisor first! I had noted the exterior as we drove into town and thought it looked very funky so after a wander around town we ended up back there for lunch. The exterior and interior did not match (first red flag) outside looked hipster cool - inside bland and uninspiring. Waiting in the queue to order, someone came up to the counter to complain they had been waiting for ages for a cup of tea to come. The staff member at the till also seemed quite flustered taking orders and writing things down then trying to ring up the till. Once seated our coffee arrived - it appeared as a mixture of unfrothed barely warm milk and coffee. We could hear people at two nearby tables complaining about being over-charged, food being slow to come out and things missing from their meals. We had the same experience with our order of âWest Coast wedgesâ coming out without the bacon - I began to think the chef didnât have a copy of the menu? I felt embarrassed for the owner who did seem to be trying her best to greet people and help and direct the staff - I did wonder whether it might be a training cafe for young people or for a charity? Overall a disappointing experience for us at this cafe unfortunately.
Restaurant meets food truck. Paroa Parked up is an extension of Paroa Hotel parked up in Greymouth's town square offering smart friendly street food.
Can not recommend these guys more! So far Iâve had 3 types of burgers, the loaded fries, donuts & bliss balls! Love that I can order in the morning and have it ready for a certain time. Super tasty, affordable meals, and big sized portions!

Established in 1982 the Bonzai has been under new management since June 2015. Now known as the Bonzai Cafe, it still provides all the old favourites, great pizza's and some of the best coffee to be found on the Coast. We've been continuing to improve the
In this street with shops, this place to eat is a little bit hidden away. When we entered, we saw this restaurant has the charm of a restaurant where mostly local people eat, with (older) friendly waitresses who seemed to know a lot of guests. The menu offered sufficient choices. My wife ordered the vegetarian dish and I had the fish special for $ 22,90. Summarised a place for a good meal in a friendly restaurant.

We came here for dinner after visiting punakaiki. What a fantastic hotel. Rustic looking. Amazing location next to stunning wild beach. Very friendly locals, Pool table, jukebox and great simple but incredibly tasty food. Would recommend to all. New management apparently and doing great job. Please support!

Good old-fashioned New Zealand cafe.
We called in here for a quick coffee, totally unplanned and were really pleasantly surprised. $8 for a large cappuccino and an earl grey tea was great value and the drinks were sizeable and good quality. We didnât eat but what others had looked great.Donât be put off by the fact it doesnât have the modern âkerb appealâ of some other cafes, this place is a real find that we would definitely come back to if back in the area.
